  Was served by Grace on the bar the other night when my husband and I grabbed a drink, lovely girl and really helpful. Thank you Grace!

  Whilst travelling to York we had car trouble so pulled into the hotel The staff were exceptional letting us park up for an hour and providing us with water for the car to continue our journey Thank you so much it was really appreciated

  We stayed for one night. The room was tidy and clean with comfortable bedding. Air conditioning was working well so the room was quite cool( during hot weather). Great leisure facilities in hotel such as indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. You can use them with no extra charge. Breakfast buffet was ok. Staff are friendly and welcoming. In general good hotel with value for money

  On arrival checked in as usual to be given our hotel key, when we got to the room the room was a mess with another guests belongings in… went back to reception to speak to Charlotte to tell her she had given us another guests room. She then proceeded to ring her colleague to try sort something out, she was on the phone for ages with us unaware of what was happening with the food we have bought going cold. Once done on the phone we were given a free drink for the inconvenience and told she was going to go check another room for us. She was gone for ages she then returned to tell us she had a room on the bottom floor baring in mind we had paid extra for the luxury of a balcony, wasn’t offered a refund to compensate for the extra we had paid. So unfortunately we decided to leave and was told we would be given a full refund due to it not being our fault, baring in mind this isn’t the first time we have been given someone else’s room at this hotel, however this occasion was sorted ASAP. Hotels.com contacted on the night we should of stayed for a refund who are unable to get hold of the hotel, so are unable to refund me the money for a hotel room we didn’t use and breakfast that we obviously didn’t consume. Will not be returning here… other than to get my refund…

  Great hotel, the staff are so helpful. Breakfast has plenty of choice and good quality. Breakfast waiters during our visit (25/6) were excellent! Really nice guys and couldn’t do enough for you
