- CTChris TovellAug 4, 20262.0The location was fine, however the rooms leave a lot to be desired, The backing on the curtains was falling to pieces with holes throughout, the sockets were coming away from the walls, there were chunks missing from the bathroom wall, and the radiator was held together with rust & dust, the headboard had a mysterious crusty stain and the fan in the room was thick with dust. Service was slow in the evening, 15 minutes wait to be seated. Breakfast was worse, 20 minutes to order and a 40 minute wait for the food to arrive. I would have complained but there was no one on reception. Overall, avoid if possible.

It may be ambitious to expect air con in a budget hotel, but something about this building (possibly insulation) meant it was like sleeping in a sauna. My advice, don’t stay here in July/Aug. I may have let that slide…but then I tried to watch the England WC Q Final against Norway and the internet bandwidth was clearly unable to cope with demand from multiple TVs. Which left me watching on my phone (inbetween cold showers). Staff were great though as was breakfast!!!
