  Came here for a little overnight to celebrate a birthday, and spend a day exploring the lovely Wirral once more. While the (free) car parking is interesting, there’s actually quite a lot of room in the various areas close by and near to the hotel itself on its ‘island’. Wonderful rooms with A/C which actually works – unlike so many places where it’s just a glorified fan! Facilities clean and very comfortable, and the views out any window are fascinating – even over the car park – but especially from the restaurant. Bed most comfortable for a good night’s sleep, as was the ambient room temperature even without the A/C on! Plus so many plugs and USB sockets that recharging those all important devices was a snap. Breakfast is a must here too, and as it was bundled with our stay it was incredibly inexpensive and also wonderfully delicious. So much variety to choose from, we were positively spoiled! Easily among the best I’ve had in hotels over the last few years here and abroad. Very little interior noise from other guests as the doors fit well, and every single member of staff we interacted with was friendly, professional and helped make our stay a great one. If I had a (minor) quibble, it might be getting out of the shower (bath) was a bit challenge as it’s a big drop and perhaps a needs some extra-anti slip pasties in the bath itself. But then again, the hot and cold running ducks (and ducklings) outside just helped make the whole stay extra special. Will definitely be staying here again – thanks to all the team!!

  Fantastic location, next to the boat museum, plenty of parking, walk along the waterways, food is good, staff very helpful, rooms spacious and clean.

  All staff very helpful and friendly, premium room was great plenty of space and comfy bed, breakfast was really nice good choice and staff amazing, location quiet but easy drive to Chester, Zoo and Cheshire Oaks

  My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights from 10 -12 June Food excellent Staff are the best They make you feel very welcome We will make sure we stay again Best experience ever Rooms very clean

  The staff here are so lovely. Parking was tricky in that we struggled to find a space and it was all very tight for space. However from the moment we entered the hotel we were warmly welcomed and felt very well looked after. The rooms are what you expect from a holiday inn. The breakfast was lovely too.
