- PWPhil WainwrightMay 31, 20264.0It's a shame that there is so little provision for people arriving by any means of transport except a car. We came by train and during our stay travelled by bus. There is no pedestrian entrance near the bus stop or the pedestrian crossing on the busy road. You have to walk in on the car entrance which has no footpath. Also as far-as I can see there is no cycle storage or parking. We are supposed to be aiming at increasing active travel and the use of public transport and yet places like this just assume that all their clients will come by car. And that is what will happen because the rest of us will be put off by this car focus. The place itself is ok. It's a comfortable bed for a few nights and clean. But the room is too hot in warm weather and everything is pared back to the basics despite prices still not being truly budget. If you want breakfast here for a few days be prepared to spend a fortune. £11 each for cooked and £9 for continental! My wife and I were here for 5 nights so could have easily spent over £100 on breakfasts! (We didn't!)
