  When trying to order food the receptionist said not tonight I have too much on. She was very rude and lost the company money and future bookings as there was 4 of us wanting a few pints,evening meal and breakfast. Due to the complete rudeness and incompetence of the so called receptionist I or my company will never book this hotel again

  Location is great…that’s all I can say. Upon arriving there were two staff members at the desk, a lady & a man, the lady told the man to check us in as she was dealing with someone else & the man stood and argued about how the computer is broken and it’s not his job to fix it. Understandable, he’s ‘a receptionist not IT’ as he claimed in front of guests. This probably could’ve been handled better. Upon checking in we had to prompt for a form to put our car registration on as this wasn’t offered to us & if we hadn’t had brought it up, we would’ve had to pay for parking. The staff quite clearly need retraining as it wasn’t busy at all but they both seemed quite flustered. Once arriving to our room 325 it was disgusting, however after our experience with reception we hadn’t much hope of change. The rooms ac was covered in a mould like substance & paint peelings off the ceiling from drips of water. The bathroom ceiling is mouldy, the window was locked closed & even had a screw put through it to keep it locked. We had no safe air & I’m asthmatic. I only booked this hotel as the price was appealing for a one night stay over for Japshow Finale however we are both left deflated after little sleep on hard pillows & such a disgusting room. Until they’ve changed or had a refurb I’d suggest the travelodge across the road by Herbies American diner! Similar price and a better experience maybe as someone’s reviewed this same hotel room 2 months ago & it looks worse!

  Talk about value for money. Staff always exceptional, parking free rooms in my case clean and spacious. Location perfect for Newmarket races, next door a dozen or so eating venues from all over the world, what's not to like. The cost I'd pay double that for less staying 1 night never alone 3. Breakfast top draw 👌

  We stayed at the Ramada Cambridge for one night as a stopover on our journey north to Scotland. The location is certainly convenient and the hotel is very easy to find, with plenty of parking and several EV charging points immediately adjacent. After a long day on the road and crossing via LeShuttle, that made it a very straightforward overnight stop. The reception staff were also very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the lorry parking area. It was adequate for one night, but unfortunately it wasn't particularly clean and generally felt rather tired and in need of a refresh. The location of the room also meant that we were woken quite early by lorries starting up and leaving the parking area. Breakfast was perfectly fine, although we found the kitchen staff considerably less friendly than the reception team. One advantage of the location is the range of facilities immediately around the hotel. There are plenty of fast-food options, as well as an M&S Food and Costa Coffee, so it's very convenient if you're travelling and just want something quick before getting back on the road. Overall, the Ramada Cambridge does the job as a convenient motorway stopover, but I felt it relies rather heavily on that convenience. The rooms and general accommodation could really benefit from some investment and refurbishment. For another journey north, I don't think we would stay here again. I'd probably look for somewhere a little more comfortable and characterful, perhaps a cosy B&B closer to Cambridge itself.

  I very rarely leave a review of any kind but unfortunately the cleanliness of this hotel was really disappointing. This is our forth visit and has been the same every time. The corridors looked as though they hadn’t been hoovered, the walls were marked, and there were actually clumps of dirt in the corners of my room. The first room I was given absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and I had to ask to move. The real shame is that the staff have always been fantastic. They are friendly, helpful and welcoming, and I genuinely cannot fault. This hotel needs some serious attention to its housekeeping and general upkeep. Such a shame, because the staff deserve a much better hotel to work in.
