- SSScribeCorps4 days ago1.0I’m going to caveat this by saying that I have not stayed at this establishment and so it could well be the best Holiday Inn in the country. However, I was left angry and frustrated when I was refused a refund on a booking I cancelled within five minutes of booking after realising I’d made a genuine error. I get there are terms and conditions and it would have been one thing to cancel just before staying. But after less than five minutes? Come on. Expedia attempted to get me a refund but were refused. Had they shown some flexibility and goodwill, it would have left a hugely positive impression and I would have enthusiastically booked with them on my next Cambridge visit. As it is, if they are taking a substantial booking fee from me in return for zero service, they can take a one-star review as well.

- DGDuncan GreenMay 24, 20264.0Make no mistake the hotel is tired, patchy carpets, tired seats in lounge area, chipped paint work, however Free parking Staff exceptionally nice and hard working. Breakfast self serve but constantly monitored and topped up and not bad quality for a buffet, huge range of food. But icing on the cake was that we came down end of may bank holiday, 30 degrees! Air conditioning in room , so happy. And another big tick they put out free suncream to use in lounge for us dopes who forgot to pack, in fairness it is as an overnight stay. Certainly come again
