  Was alright. First time staying in premier in, get what you pay for expect I didn’t sleep well. Rooms have no AC however they do provide a fan but still I could not sleep as room was very hot and stuffy. The room was expectionally clean. The bathroom however absolutely stunk of cigerates, a difficult smell to remove so perhaps they should install smoke detectors in bathroom too? For the price I would say you can’t argue but I really didn’t sleep well and bathroom smell wasn’t pleasant. I’d probably rather pay extra for a hotel with AC next time.

  It's a Premier Inn! Accessible door on bathroom didn't close fully. Woman at breakfast seemed displeased that we hadn't pre-booked a table before hand, even though we weren't advised to do so at arrival.

  We booked for 2 nights so that we could attend a family event, thiw was Friday and Saturday night. We arrived at this hotel quite late, after a very long drive. We were looking forward to having a drink in the adjacent pub but first had to settle my 91 year old father-in-law in. Once he was settled we headed off to the bar and arrived at 10pm on the dot only to find the doors to the pub locked, people still inside but not us. Although advertised as being open to 11pm it shut the doors at 10pm; as I understand it, this was due to lack of staff...this was a Friday! So as Premier Inns do not have a lounge area it was off to our room as there weren't any other pubs nearby. At least we could settle down to a bit of TV. Unfortunately TV was basic, no Netfix or other tv channels available so that was a waste of time. At least internet would provide something eh? No chance! I even paid for the premium service which turned out to be a waste of money. Speed reminded of the early days of the internet. So, time for a shower; sadly only 1 towel between the 2 of us. Now I know Premier Inn pride themselves on their mattresses and here I will concede, I did have a comfortable nights sleep. The next morning we wwent to fetch my father-in-law. he is 91, old and frail. He needs a walker to be walk properly (a bit like a zimmer frame but with wheels). The corridors are very narrow and the cleaners were out with their very large trolleys blocking the corridor. That's not a criticism of the cleaners, what else are they supposed to do? The cleaners had to pull their trolleys' into the rooms to enable my father-in-law to get past. Thank goodness he wasn't trying to exit in an emergency! Overall we found the staff to be very helpful and would not criticise them. The hotel looked very run down, I believe the hotel is due to be shut down soon. Sadly, after this experience I will not choose to stay at a Premier Inn again. I want a hotel that has a lounge area to allow a bit of relaxation after a long journey, I want Netflix or something similar to be available on the TV, I want fast internet and I want a hotel that does not feel like it is run down. Premier Inn advertises something along the line 'you know what you get with Premier Inn'. Well I know what I didn't get.

  Staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the leisure estate the hotel is located on is mostly abandoned and there were cars cruising after dark

  The place is worn out and actually no where near “premier inn standard” The rooms are tired, don’t smell very nice, bathroom vanity unit panels blown, old and dated decor I have stayed in literally hundreds of premier inns over the last 10 years and this one is not good!the restaurant is also well overdue a complete refurbishment, the inside of worn and poorly maintained. Mens toilets - 3 urinals, one blocked and nearly overflowing, one with a plastic bag over it (obviously out of order) Outside space at the restaurant is simply a complete disgrace. Mc Donald’s packaging everywhere, cigarette ends, black paving stones and just generally completely un inviting! It probably doesn’t help that the ‘shopping park’ is also mainly closed. Most of the retail units are empty and vandalised. I would not recommend staying here at all. There are far better places close by
