  I booked last minute so I was expecting a super charge. Nope. The room was clean, the service perfect. The gym is good size. They call it 'mini gym' but I disagree. There was no waste of space and it is well equipped. I was able to use it multiple times a day, and at odd times too. I found the food a bit pricey, though I guess it's all aligned to how expensive Bristol is (or at least,I found it expensive coming from Scotland) . That's the only reason for the 4 stars.

  Lovely,clean hotel upgraded larger room at no extra cost.Staff very friendly and efficient.My partner left her jacket in the bar overnight,staff found it and gave it back.

  Excellent Location, Wonderful Staff & Very Convenient for Exploring Bristol One thing I would specifically flag for travelers is the bathtub in my original room. I’m 5'5", and the side of the tub came approximately to my mid-thigh, making it extremely difficult for me to step over safely. There was also no grab bar to assist with getting in or out. Travelers with limited mobility or balance concerns may want to ask about the bathtub configuration when booking. Fortunately, the renovated room I was moved to had a much lower and more accessible tub along with a grab bar on the inside to allow for safer entry/ exiting. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The location is fantastic — Cabot Circus, ODEON cinema, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment are all within an easy walk. The Bristol Bus & Coach Station is also only about a 6-minute (0.2-mile) walk away, which was incredibly convenient. I used it both for transportation from Bristol Airport and for my FlixBus to London Heathrow. If you're visiting Bristol without a car, this is an excellent location. The staff were one of the highlights of my stay. A special thank you to Bipin, Nadia in Housekeeping, and Mibika, as well as the manager seated near the entrance to the dining area. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I did have some issues with my original room, including the AC not working properly, an unusually high bathtub that was difficult to access, and a TV positioned too low to comfortably watch from the bed. The hotel accommodated my request to move, and my newly renovated room was much more comfortable. There were a few inconsistencies between the rooms regarding amenities. My original room had a robe, slippers, and a specialty beverage machine, while the renovated room did not. The renovated room also did not have body lotion, which surprised me since that's a toiletry I generally expect and rely on when staying at IHG properties. The check-in setup can also be a little confusing, as check-in may take place upstairs or at the ground-floor desk depending on the time of day. Clearer signage would help. Despite those few areas for improvement, the staff's friendliness and willingness to accommodate me made a real difference. Between the excellent location, easy access to transportation, and wonderful staff, I would stay here again when visiting Bristol.

  Turned up on a Saturday night only to be told the room was not available despite them calling at 19:45 to make sure I was coming. Failed to provide a suitable alternative accomodation and was frankly useless in calling around. Shocking failure of hospitality and despite being a rewards member I was left to find my own solution. Will be seeking full compensation for this breach of contract. NB - while you say in your reply this is not reflective of the customer service I received an equally unprofessional response from the duty manager today. So while it’s not your intention it is my experience that both manager were equally incompetent and blasé. If your people cant resolve an issue without a nervously grin they should not be in those roles.

  Rooms nice, great shower good location. Great selection at breakfast However, the coffee machines serve the worst coffee I have ever tasted and I have stayed in cheap American hotels. Maybe it was just a one off. Will find out tomorrow.
