  Unfortunately, my experience was below expectations. I honestly expected much better from Holiday Inn. The rooms were not very clean, and the hotel overall feels quite old and in need of renovation. The service was okay, but the cleanliness and condition of the rooms really affected the overall experience. I hope more attention will be given to cleanliness and updating the rooms, as these are essential for a comfortable stay.

  If you need a place to stay and have pretty low standards, this will do the job for you. Our room was ok on first impression. But the floor in the bathroom is wonky, the carpet pretty grubby. The doors slam loudly and keep waking us up through the night. They only put one set of towels out, found the others in the wardrobe. Are they hoping to save on linen costs? Positive - Aircon in room is good. The lifts weren’t working, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs from the car park. Seriously? Lifts not working? The breakfast room is lovely and bright, nice enough in style. But the food is utterly joyless. Everything is really bland and tasteless, the coffee is poor. The breakfast serving area is chaotic with a poor footfall flow that could easily be improved. If anyone looked at it. I would not stay here again based on the breakfast. Also, the spelling on the breakfast signs is hilariously wrong. Poor attention to detail all round. Additional note - on their reply they mention a room upgrade. We didn’t get one. This is not true at all.

  Room was fine, great location but would strongly advise giving the restaurant a wide birth! We ordered as a family of four, waited an hour for three laughably small main means (£15 for three table spoons of lasagne with a side of dry lettuce) my child had to wait a further half hour for pizza which arrived when we had all finished, burnt and our sides didn’t turn up at all.. I was then left holding said burnt pizza at the waiting station whilst a disinterested waitress went to seek out a manager, when, after taking his time, blandly told us that they could try and get another pizza to us but it would be another half an hour. Thank god for just eat. This was booked as part of the Paultons break deals. After a day spent walking miles with tired kiddos in tow, you want somewhere easy to grab a meal before bed, I won’t be biking here again.

  Hotel is just ok, staff are friendly. The underground parking is a awful. Spaces are not wide enough to open doors and access luggage. Concrete support pillars blocking doors so cars are forced to park right on the lines (myself included) to give enough room to exit car without smashing door. And it cost £15.50 for the benefit. Air con unit in room 414 was extremely noisy, see video. Didn't use it as a result. So resulted in opening window. Not a great visit.
