Nice place, with helpful, (mostly) friendly staff. About a 10 minute walk from the bus stop that takes you to the train station. But, it is outside the main city of London, so if you intend to go to London, you’ll either need to get a taxi, or get a special ticket…which couldn’t be any easier. So transportation was pretty convenient. As for the room, medium mattress comfiness. I’d bring your own toiletries. But the room was clean and they have room service, etc. Fairly quiet, and felt safe.
Stayed here for a few days while volunteering at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The hotel is mostly accessible with care but I did run into a problem when I tried to have a shower. The shower stool wouldn't drop down so I couldn't have a proper shower due to needing to sit. Even so, the quick shower I did have, completely flooded out of the room into the bedroom and soaked the carpet! I tried to mop it up and redirect the water to no avail. Housekeeping attempted to clean it up but it left a bad smell in the room for the last night even with the window propped open. An air freshener would have been appreciated.
Another simple thing that made life more interesting was the call buttons on the lift. Because they are dipped in for a finger to use, I couldn't use my walking stick to call the lift. This made life difficult with ensuring my mobility scooter was in the right position to enter when I called it. Had they been flat I could have positioned myself and then called but, as it was, I needed assistance.
Breakfast was plentiful and, although it could have been hotter, it tasted fine.
There is limited disabled parking outside reception but when it's full you just have to find a space somewhere and let them know. All in all I'll probably stay here again but I'm also open to looking elsewhere too.
I’ve been to this hotel often, by often I mean like I come every month being honest. and never ever I felt unsafe, annoyed or wierd checking in to the best hotels of millennium group. I’ve spoken to the board regarding the incident that occurred during my check in. and is still undergo investigation. in the mean time I thought to leave a review for others.
I had a very strange issue, I’ve checked in the first day of my visit. everything went great, the guy who checked me in knows already I come often. always had a good reputation, but the second day things changed. I extended my stay, had everything going smooth. paid extra to extra on the spot. everything went well. until around 1pm I left leaving my keys in the room. when I came back around 2pm I haven’t had my keys and asked reception to make them. and it was nothing knew it happened multiple times. guy was even making it, whereas what changes the scenario is a lady at the desks who had zero talking sense sitting at the back, came forward in the most egoistic way possible. ASKING ME TO SHOW MY “friends id”. WHO visited me multiple times and never ever I had an issues with it. For the first time that let me down. It was terrible of them to do that. Showed them her passport, another guy who checked it. Seen she’s over 18 “legal age” still said in a rude tone talking to his team member infront of me “oh they are scared” or smthg like that.. I didn’t say anything but I recorded everything on my phone. I asked for manager or the name, they’re like “oh dw about that.. u can see my name it’s fine” it was so rude and so egoistic. I felt so bad and even felt more disrespectful infront of my friend. like what kind of management is this. Where everyone’s calling themselves a manager. I didn’t like their tone, I had to literally call Agoda “bear in mind being a VIP member at Agoda” got refunded for this. I couldn’t resist and just had to leave, went upstairs packed my bags whereas as everything was already done and checked in. Had to look for another hotel the same spot. they really didn’t care about guests experience.
it was my top fav best hotel for my Slough trips, and I love everything about it. And it will deffo be, but the management has to change. their management needs to have proper training. only the guy who checked me in was the kindest out of all of them, was scared to speak out in front of his seniors. I didn’t like the way the staff gets pressurised to choose the right thing. We would’ve even proved anything else they would’ve asked, but no they just don’t want us there. after that the guys like to me it’s just booked for one person you can’t take her, WHEREAS CLEARLY SHES JUST VISITING ME AND SHE HAD NO INTENTIONS TO STAY, and THERES NO MILLENNIUM GROUP HOTEL WHO DOESNT ALLOW A FRIEND to visit a guest. in their mind they thought us as we are doing something wrong, while knowing everything and proving them everything. they thought we can’t do anything and were being like they are the powerful once and thought idk anything about the laws. WHEREAS THE LADY CAME ONTO LAW that “ohh these are new laws home office issues them now” NO HOME OFFICE HAS ISSUES SUCH A RULES. and they need their qualifications checked. so unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour towards the guest.
being frank, hotel is the best. love the hotel a lot, would even visit again soon. but just want the management to be better trained. because they are ruining hotel’s reputation a lot.
for any further detail, reach out to me. im here to provide every tiny detail.
thank you, and hope to see the change. and honestly they need to stop judging. they’re like the last time our manager got kicked out for some other reason.. where they trying to relate to us. it was so disgusting of them that they we came there for something else. IDC IF YOUR MANAGER GOT KICKED OUT FOR FEW DAYS OR WHATEVER HAPPENED IN YOUR HOTEL. But what was that all to do with me, instead of being better you’re being even more terrible.. imagine getting treated like this while you’ve already checked in and just needed keys.

I’m honestly shocked by what I experienced during my stay at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor.
While in the bar area, I witnessed a staff member named Edney behaving in a completely inappropriate and disturbing way — he was kissing a picture frame behind the bar. When I approached him about it, instead of addressing the situation professionally, he became defensive and threatened to have me removed from the hotel, claiming he was the bar manager.
This left me feeling uncomfortable and honestly a bit intimidated, which is why I didn’t raise it formally during my stay. No guest should feel threatened for simply questioning unusual behaviour from staff.
Between this and other issues during my stay, the overall experience has been very poor. I would strongly expect better standards of professionalism and customer service from a hotel like this.

Stayed on the 28th April through an Expedia booking. Arrived to see posters in reception indicating that a boiler was being replaced between 10pm and 4am - there was no mention of this prior to or after booking. Fire alarm went off at 1.45am, spoke to reception who said it was a false alarm. The fire alarm light kept flashing after this. I went to reception at 2.15am who told me the light wasn't flashing as they'd reset the alarm (they didn't ask to check my room). Went back to my room and at about 2.30am reception called to ask me if the light was still flashing (the light they said wasn't flashing). I was then woken around 3.15am by the sound of drilling or sawing from the boiler work - the sound of which had been going on during the night despite reassurances that the work wouldn't impact guests. The alarm light was still flashing at this point as well.
This is the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. No hint of an apology from reception staff at check out who merely said they'd inform tech services to look at the light. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times when I'm working early in London but not again.
