- SHSimon Herko1 day ago5.0We had a very pleasant short stay at Willen Lake on our way down from Wigan to Whitstable. Carmen at reception was so helpful and friendly on check in. Going over and beyond to help us to our room with our sleepy child. The room was lovely and we all slept well in the comfy beds. In the morning we had a super breakfast next door, served by another helpful and friendly staff, Dee. We'll definitely come back for other times we need a stop over - the location was incredibly convenient for the motorways and we liked the tranquil feel of the Willen Lake.

Parking is now £9.40 a night rather than the £7.40 it was 2 weeks ago....

In particular, I would like to mention Carmen, who was working at reception when we left at 6:30 a.m. on the 23rd of May. She was absolutely exceptional — so warm, kind, and welcoming. Her tone and manner immediately stood out, and she was especially lovely to both my children and myself. She went out of her way to come out from behind the reception desk to assist us, which made such a positive impression. I truly believe Carmen deserves recognition, as she played a huge part in why we enjoyed our stay so much. Staff like her make all the difference, and her kindness did not go unnoticed.
