  Service at reception wasn’t very personable. Rooms hot as the sun. A fan was provided but could hardly open windows. Bedside usb sockets did not work and only one free plug socket in the room. Very basic room. Bedsheet put on wrong way so ends of mattresses were exposed. Asked for an iron and ironing board - probably would have gotten a better result if I’d hung the shirt up whilst having a shower. No WiFi in room coupled with no phone signal. Plenty of parking. I know it’s a premier inn but for I’ve stayed in far better ones and this still set us back £100 a night!

  I had a genuinely disappointing experience at this hotel. Out of all the Premier Inn hotels I've stayed in over the years, this was by far the worst. The room didn't have air conditioning or even a mini fridge. Instead, they provided a fan, but it was nowhere near enough. The room stayed around 26°C throughout the night, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. To make matters worse, the blackout curtain was damaged and wouldn't close properly. I spent quite a while trying to fix it, but there was still a gap, and by around 4 a.m. the sunlight was already coming into the room, waking me up even earlier. The Wi-Fi was another major issue. There were free and paid options. The free Wi-Fi was unusably slow (well under 1 Mbps), so I paid for the premium service because I needed to work. Unfortunately, the paid Wi-Fi only reached around 1.5 Mbps, kept disconnecting, and was so unreliable that I ended up using my mobile data instead. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I expect much better from Premier Inn, especially considering my previous stays have generally been positive. I wouldn't choose this hotel again and cannot recommend it based on my experience.

  Highly recommended. Also, the very first U. K. accommodation with a decent cooling, top knotch fan, for the very hot weather experienced. (I even googled to purchase same fan!).

  After a 4 hour drive we arrived very tired and couldn't find a parking space as the car park is very small. Being very tired we just wanted a good nights sleep. Room and bed as expected from a premier inn. Didn't sleep well at all though due to the room being hotter than the surface of the sun and the fan provided sounding like a jet engine to have it on a setting that provided the slightest difference. Tried to call premier inn in advance to upgrade the room to one with air con and couldn't get through at all. It was definitely not a good nights sleep.
