A mixed experience but will start with the positives.
Hot shower, quiet, clean room, cooked breakfast was tasty. Very pleasant lady cleaning rooms as we departed. The staff on reception were fine.
There was only one hand towel and bath towel in the room when we arrived so I had to go and ask for a second set. The lady who brought this up a bit later on was pleasant.
The young girl in the restaurant needs guidance and training on how to deal with and speak to customers. We had booked for breakfast at 10 but found there was an issue with milk. I asked for the milk jug to be refilled ( for adding to cereal and tea by all guests) but the jug was only partly re-filled such that it had to be replaced a few minutes later when another lady requested it and was soon empty again. When you pay for a cooked breakfast you expect to be able to have a hot drink with milk in alongside this.
When we asked again about the milk the young girl said her manager had told her not to refill the milk past 10.30.
Her argumentative tone became ridiculous - this clearly needs to be addressed by the manager with training. The manager was pleasant when we spoke to him and he did apologise but we weren’t convinced by him and won’t be back sadly. The grounds of the hotel are very dilapidated. Our advice would be to eat elsewhere if you are staying there. It’s a pity as we stay in many Premier inns.
Courtesy costs nothing and a paying guest deserves an acceptable level of service. If breakfast is served until 10.30 then there should be some provision made for those coming in up to this time.

I stayed here for one night with my son. We had travelled up to do a few things in Birmingham. We added on the meal deal so dinner and breakfast. Both was lovely and prefect being at the hotel after a long day.
Honestly what makes this hotel is the staff! Everyone of them i dealt with was so friendly and helpful. They was always helping people and asking if anyone needed anything. There was two women evening staff and it was fairly busy, they was doing alot. They was always smiling and happy to assist. I hope this seen and the staff are appreciated.

Shocking, worst premier inn I have ever been to. If you like terrible breakfasts that are dry and tasteless then this is the place for you. Most of the staff are as good as gold but you always have a couple that attitudes ruin it for everyone. We ordered dinner one night it took well over an hour and a half to receive it, couldn’t eat it. Ended up getting a better meal deal from across the road from tescos and had it in our room. Unfortunately we have to use this premier inn a couple of times because of funerals but this is the last. We are positive people and think it won’t be as bad as last time but they seem to want to prove us wrong. DO NOT STAY HERE
