The manager was a baldy, he was condescending and rude when we complained about ac issues, a bit weird too as he was looking my wife up and down during breakfast. Would not stay again although location and other staff were great.
We had a really pleasant stay from checking in to breakfast and even checking out the staff especially the 2 young boys front of house and also the young girl at breakfast were so attentive and nothing was too much for them. I didn’t expect much as in hotels there’s not much interaction and customer service doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore but these 3 went over and beyond to make our stay even better then it was. The room was clean tidy the air con was a god send. There was everything you needed in the room without having to ask for anything! We will definately be returning. Those staff members are a credit to the IHG Group!

The "family" room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed.
Loses stars for:
- loud water flowing sounds throughout the night, probably hearing each time the room above used the facilities.
- There's enough room in the family rooms to fit an extra rollout/pullout/pop up bed. My kids are too old to share a double, so my daughter got the sofa bed and I shared the regular double with my son. Typical of Holiday Inn Express, but the room here could easily fit an extra space if they wanted to
- No hashbrowns at breakfast as "the oven was broken".
Would stay again, if hashbrowns were guaranteed 😂

Stayed here for 2 nights and overall had a good experience. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth, and the staff were helpful when we wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after checking out. There was no hassle at all.
The breakfast was decent, and the location was good for us. It was around 10 minutes by car to Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, which was very convenient.
The only downside was the noise late at night. Some guests were talking loudly and banging doors, and we could also hear some water noise from the pipes. Apart from that, it was a comfortable stay and I would consider staying again.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Snow Hill by IHG with my cousin on 29 May. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
The air conditioning in our room was not working properly, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Although we were provided with two fans, they were ineffective and did not resolve the issue.
As a result, neither of us got a proper night’s sleep. We woke up at around 5:00 AM feeling unwell, exhausted, and uncomfortable. My cousin also felt ill due to the lack of sleep and poor room conditions. We had plans to travel to London on Saturday, but we were so tired that it negatively affected our day.
I am very disappointed with the service and the way this issue was handled. A good night’s sleep is one of the most important expectations when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately this hotel failed to provide that. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again.
