  am very disappointed with my experience at this Holiday Inn. I was charged for parking during my stay from 24 July to 25 July, but when I checked in, the reception staff did not explain that there would be a parking charge. When I raised the issue, I was told that I should have known I would be charged. But how was I supposed to know if nobody explained it to me? We stay at different hotels regularly, and normally the reception staff clearly explain the parking arrangements and any additional charges when you check in. This did not happen here. The problem is not simply paying for parking. The problem is that I was not informed about the charge beforehand, and when I tried to explain this, I felt that nobody really listened or tried to help. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and makes sure reception staff clearly explain parking charges to guests in the future.

  I stayed here for one night during the European Athletics Championships. My 11th floor room was quiet and beautifully air conditioned (a good thing during a heatwave). The dining room wasn't busy when I was there for breakfast from around 7am, and there was a good selection of hot and cold food available. I did notice a long queue for breakfast when I was checking out a couple of hours later. It was convenient to have secure car parking in the B4 just around the back of the hotel, and with a 50% discount if you enter your registration number on the console at reception. For my short stay, everything was fine.

  Very poor meeting room experience. Attended an event last night due to start at 7pm. We got to the hotel about 6.45pm and went to ask the receptionist which room the event was being held in. She was friendly and approachable but did not know the hotel was holding the event. She then asked her colleague who was checking in a family. Her colleague was very sharp with her reply, boarding on being rude. She was the same with the family she was checking in who were asking her a couple of questions. The reply was the event is in room 4 and we were given instructions how to get to the room. Upstairs it turned out the event was in room 2. The course host apologised it would be an approx 7.30pm start which meant the 20 people attending all stood or sat around with nothing to do - turns out the hotel had forgotten the booking and when our host got to the hotel he had to wait while the alternative room was prepared. Sadly the evening got worse - the air conditioning in room 2 was not working properly and the room became very hot over the course of the evening, The large TV in the room was not working which meant the host could not connect his laptop and couldn’t show us his presentation. The walls in the room had 9 holes in them where previous pictures or furniture had been. When we came to leave I noticed there was a plaque behind the reception which confirmed the name of the manager of duty - the fact it was blank summed up how much care and attention this hotel provided to our group. This is a review of the reception and meeting room only, we didn’t stay overnight so I can’t comment on the bedrooms.

  We’ve stayed at Snow Hill Holiday Inn twice when in Birmingham, and it’s always been pretty decent. One time we stayed when I was receiving specialist care at one of the hospitals in Birmingham and it was a good choice. When checking in, I could see a lot of parents who had children reviving specialist care used this branch too. Just thought it was worth mentioning incase anybody is looking to stay for similar reasons. A shame there’s no parking for the Holiday Inn but nearby car parks are available. Our stay today has been great. The gentleman who checked us in yesterday (02/08/26, around 5:30pm) made our stay very comfortable, and he always went the extra mile, and he deserves special recognition for that (a young man with mid length wavy hair). He gave us a nice room, and was always willing to help with any little query. Thank you.

  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn for my graduation, and the customer service was truly outstanding. The entire staff was so warm and welcoming, but Dave and Leanne went above and beyond to make my stay special. I was quite nervous upon arrival, but Dave was amazing at putting me at ease. He completely calmed my nerves, and on departure, he even came over to say goodbye and congratulate me again. He even went as far as providing us a complimentary Prosecco to celebrate. His kindness is something I will never forget! Leanne was also fantastic, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The room was very nice, comfortable, and impeccably clean. To top it all off, breakfast featured a fantastic variety of delicious options to start the day right. Thank you, Dave, Leanne, and the Holiday Inn team, for making my graduation unforgettable!
