I didnt even stop to think whether I should book this Premier Inn or not because I thought they all had to be of a certain standard. I was wrong, this Premier Inn in Bath City Centre was horrendous, and probably one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in, in the UK.
We arrived late after driving for 3.5hrs from Cornwall, to be met by a girl in the reception who clearly did not want to work there. I can take tired, dated rooms as long as they are clean. However, upon entering our room we were greeted with floors dirtier than the outside, our family of 4 was only provided with 3 towels... And I only realised that we had no toilet paper halfway through my poo!
When my wife went back to reception (twice), we couldn't find anyone to help, except a security guard that helped in the search. She finally found a more helpful member of staff, who offered my wife a free breakfast (I would have preferred some toilet paper first), but by that time we were all too tired to pack our things up and move.
Just take this as a warning, that this is nowhere near as nice as any Premier Inn you have stayed in before.

Rooms are in desperate need of need of decorating . The rooms look dirty . Stains everywhere limescale all around the taps .Does not usually bother me to much BUT this is not a cheap hotel . This cost £149 a night . I know it’s a premier inn but I have stayed in them b4 and this is the worst . Not stayed in one for quite a while but you now have to request your room to be cleaned the next day by 12noon fair enough the room does not have to be cleaned everyday . But we had to ask for new towels which by the way definitely need replacing they smelled clean but had stains . Tbe last day we did ask for the room to be cleaned and they only left 1 set of towels no way to contact reception so off you go having to walk back to reception and ask for more towels . As I said the towels or terrible so need to be changed daily . The room over looked a small carpark with pigeon crap everywhere and we knew there was not a view to be fair but clean the windows clear the bird shit . This hotel needs a complete overhaul. The lady at reception was pleasant enough no issues with that . Deffo better hotels for £150 a night
