I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel.
Firstly, the check-in experience was nothing short of a joke. My initial room key did not work, so I had to return to reception to have a new key issued. When I finally managed to open the door, I discovered that the room was already occupied by another guest. It then became apparent that the receptionist had written the wrong room number on the key card due to a lack of attention. This was not only highly unprofessional but also a serious privacy and security concern for both parties involved.
Secondly, the parking charges are simply outrageous. Charging £80 for 24 hours' parking in a city like Bath is excessive and unreasonable. One has to ask whether guests are paying for hotel parking or being exploited. If the hotel has experienced parking management issues in the past, those are internal operational problems and should not be passed on to guests through such unreasonable fees.
Unfortunately, these issues significantly affected what should have been an enjoyable stay. I sincerely hope the hotel reviews its staff training procedures and parking policy to ensure future guests do not experience the same level of frustration and disappointment.

Rather than park in the hotel for your stay, it would probably work out cheaper to fly to Bristol via Rome business class, then get a taxi to the hotel.

Unfortunately, ahead of my stay at this Holiday Inn, I had to endure a 30 minute wait at check-in. This was excarbated by a guest airing a complaint about the exhorbitant car parking charges at the hotel. Another guest remarked that "it was like paying for a room for your car!". The website warned of limited car parking spaces, but I found that this wasn't a problem; likely due to the cost!
This is one of the more modern hotels, but my room had a substantially smaller living area that at the older Holiday Inn hotels I've stayed at. However, as a trade-off, the shower and HVAC system were both particularly good.

Stayed for 1 night. Location was nice, walking distance to most anything around. The hotel provided a discount code for parking on-site ( super convenient) which brought the price from £80(outrageous) down to £30 for 24 hours which is a ok rate. Breakfast was good with all the normal things, plenty of coffee and juice options. Bar on-site was nice for drinks but we tried to order food at 2030, which is a advertised open time for the kitchen. We were told the kitchen closed a while before that, but it didn't open until 1800. So not sure if your actually able to get dinner there or not. We went to a local italian place just 2 min walk away and it was amazing so it worked out for us. The fire alarm did go off for the entire hotel at 0430, which had all of us scrambling. It went out a few minutes later but not a word was ever spoken as to why it what happened. That made for a ultimately hellish long day since i couldnt fll back asleep after that. Room was comfortable, had AC but only went down to 20c and kept flashing and turning itself off. Could use some minor updating, and better attential to detail on cleaning but we would stay again.
