HotelBed & BreakfastRestaurantPremier Inn
Our Aberdeen Airport hotel is the ideal stop-off whether you're jetting away or in the area on business. We're handy for the A96 and all roads leading north, while all the sights and sounds of Aberdeen are close at hand too. The hotel features our new generation bedrooms, each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size bed. See your favourite rock band at the AECC, the North East of Scotland's premier event venue. Or stroll through the Aberdeen, enjoying the sparkling silver buildings of the so-called Granite City. There's a feast for the eyes on every corner, with theatres and concert venues aplenty - and there's a feast waiting for you back at the hotel too, at our Thyme restaurant.

I really wanted to like this hotel. I stayed for the first time in June and initially had a very positive impression of the room. Unfortunately, that stay was spoilt by a really poor meal in the restaurant that evening, followed by the fire alarm going off in the early hours after somebody had apparently been smoking in one of the rooms. Despite this, I decided to give the hotel a second chance and stayed again at the end of August. Sadly, this time I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. The room looked tired and dirty and was nothing like the room I had stayed in previously. The headboard was particularly grotty and had a large stain on it. The bathroom fixtures were heavily rusted, there were what appeared to be urine marks on the toilet seat, and there were numerous marks and scuffs on the walls. Later that evening, I also noticed a large and very unpleasant-looking stain on the wall which appeared to be some sort of bodily residue or something. I have attached photos so people can judge the condition for themselves. I went straight to reception after noticing the general condition of the room and politely asked whether it would be possible to change rooms. I was told that this wasn't possible because the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked the Premier Inn website, it still appeared that rooms were available, which was particularly frustrating. I also raised the issues with reception again the following morning. Unfortunately, the response was essentially just a "sorry", with very little interest shown in actually addressing the concerns. This was particularly disappointing because during my previous stay in June, there was a lovely member of staff on reception in the morning who was very welcoming and customer-service orientated. On this occasion, I unfortunately didn't get the same impression from the staff I dealt with. What frustrates me most is that I did try to give the hotel a second chance. I actually looked forward to staying here again, and I raised my concerns with reception as soon as I noticed the problems. Sadly, neither raising the issues when I arrived nor mentioning them again the following morning seemed to result in any meaningful help. It's a real shame, because the hotel has a good location for Aberdeen Airport and my first room was perfectly nice. But after two stays with significant problems, and particularly after the condition of the second room, I would unfortunately struggle to choose this hotel again. I filled out a feedback form after the stay but I haven't been contacted at all since unfortunately.

£11 for parking is very disappointing, it's a premier Inn you know what you get

Room hadn't been cleaned after previous occupant. Kitchen wasn't working first night and was very understaffed on other nights, resulting in a wait of over 40 minutes to have an order taken, and that was after a half hour wait for a table. Some staff were obviously new and inexperienced and so should have had additional staff there to support them. Restaurant was also understaffed at breakfast with only one person available to check people in, take payments, cover reception and deal with any issues.
