We stayed at Portlethen Premier Inn on 9th September. There were renovations ongoing to upgrade accessible rooms on the ground floor close to the reception area. 1. The security door was taped open for ease of the workmen . 2. We were allocated room 6 adjacent to the rooms being renovated. 3. The corridor was filthy with plaster dust..the carpets were covered in protective sheets. The corridor resembled a building site. 4.The room itself was fine but the disruption of the work being done both inside and outside made our stay uncomfortable to say the least. 5. We were rudely awakened by drilling in the adjacent room I the morning. 6. I complained to the manager who agreed that the conditions were below expectations and pointed me to customer relations. She herself was polite and professional. 7. I waited 9 days with still no reply I telephoned. 8. The agent said how sorry he was for our disappointment but renovations have to be done and refused my request for a full refund. 9. I have used Premier Inn many times with no issue but I will not be using them in the future. 10. This is experience soured our night away and to be told by Customer Relations that nothing could be done about it in my view totally UNACCEPTABLE.

We have stayed at Premier Inn portlethan each year, for around 15 years, we know that the Beefeater was closing, but received an email for discounted breakfasts, we were told on arrival that breakfast was only available for the next day, no evening meals, however the next day they did breakfast but didn't tell the guests, we were told the new dining room would be ready the next day, having seen inside I can assure you that it won't be ready for at least 2 weeks, we were told each day they would be providing breakfast of sorts in reception but it never materialised, the standard a cleanliness in the rooms also left a lot to be desired, all in all a totally ruined visit.
