  BUYER BEWARE. As a longtime IHG member, I've been very disappointed with the service I received at this location. The front desk not only assured me of a refund for canceled reservation (which was false), but they refused to provide assistance on subsequent calls. I was even placed on hold for a long while only to be hung up on later. This place clearly has poor management. It's time to make the full switch over to Marriott.

  Great check in with Eva. She was very helpful by giving us a map of the island and a list of restaurants with recommendations. She was very friendly and engaging in conversation. We would definitely stay here again!

  Overall, my stay had a mix of positives and concerns. The staff was very friendly—one employee in particular always greeted me warmly, which made a great impression and added a personal touch to the experience. Breakfast was a highlight. I especially enjoyed the white egg omelets, potatoes, and the pancake maker, which was a nice addition and made mornings convenient and enjoyable. However, there were several issues that impacted my stay. The beds were quite noisy, especially on the second floor, and I could clearly hear loud footsteps from above, which woke me up during the night. The showers are in need of updating, as they felt outdated and not well-maintained. Additionally, the doors did not open or close properly, and the automatic door closer was not functioning. This could pose a potential security concern and should be addressed promptly. The air vents were also very dirty, with visible dust buildup that looked like cotton balls, which raises concerns about air quality and possible respiratory health risks. Overall, while the staff and breakfast were great, the maintenance and cleanliness issues need significant improvement.

  The Holiday Inn Express in St Simon Island Georgia is a very nice place. The staff are very professional and nice. We enjoyed our stay there. The area is very quiet. Even though they don't have a hot tub, the Best Western right beside them allows Holiday Inns guests to use theirs. When you check in at Holiday Inn Express, they give you a list of restaurants and other information on it which is very helpful.
