Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect destination for your Savannah experience, steps from City Market, Forsyth Park, Ellis Square, River Street and more than 150 restaurants and bars. Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, our hotel is the perfect mix of old and new featuring a historic building with authentic suites along with modern rooms, gathering spaces and amenities that every visitor will love. Known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay", our building was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940's and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in the vibrant Ellis Square that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned Historic District. Guests enjoy our acclaimed location in the heart of it all, along with true Southern hospitality. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located next door. Then embark on one of the tours Savannah has to offer with several iconic squares located steps from our door. Make your way down cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food. Hotel Indigo sets the stage for a remarkable Savannah stay!

Location is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. Bed Bug & Cockroach warning!!! Found bed bugs on the pull out bed, then a roach was found on my pants this morning! Not only this, 1/3 elevators is fully functional, other 1 next to it is super slow, then the third is completely broken! The staff was very friendly and helpful but man, this place greatly needs a big renovation. I’m sorry I have to leave such a bad review but my patience has run out :(

Having been to many conferences in Savannah and staying at various hotels, I was disappointed with Hotel Indigo. The rooms are quite small, and I was on tbe 2nd floor facing W Bay Street. The traffic noise was awful, so I didn't sleep well. They are doing some renovations to the hotel which might make it a more pleasant place, but I dont think so. The location is the best part about the stay. The price of the room was outrageous based on what you got. Won't ever stay there again if I can help it.

Took our deposit without saying anything. Had to reach out to resolve the issue, but the help desk was dodgy and unhelpful. They ended up only refunded one of the two deposits when the second ticket has been sitting as pending for the past 10 days. This is an absolute scam. Anyone who decides to stay here should pay attention to whether the deposit's been returned. Worst experience ever.

We were unaware at booking the hotel was under refurbishment. Our room was on the second floor so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience to take the stairs. Drywall remnants were on the floor as if it wasn't properly cleaned prior to our arrival. No bedskirt only a weird mesh fitted "sheet". Our toilet continually ran to the point we turned off the water to it to have a semi quiet night. We are familiar with staying in the area and brought a sound machine to drown out the street noise (but the street noise was still loud enough to disrupt us throughout the night). It would have been nice if the hotel provided that. We also acknowledged the lack of a mini fridge and microwave. This is something that seems so standard but a lost thought with the Indigo. Valet is $48/night. Overall, with the lack of detail accommodations, we would not be rebooking.

Truly the worst and most disgusting experience I have ever had at a hotel. I have reactive airway disease and woke up SICK. My toddler woke up congested and unwell. Noticed when I went to take a shower there was MOLD above the walls in the shower because the bathroom fan doesn’t work. I think mold is VERY serious and would be so ashamed if this were my hotel and guests reported a mold problem. They did not seem shocked or appalled, especially considering we still paid for this room. They gave us a $40 breakfast voucher (we are going on a lunch cruise we’ve already paid for so it really wasn’t something we wanted) and for $40, two adults cannot get breakfast and drinks/tip. You will end up paying something for the complimentary breakfast, which is a way for them to get more of your money and spin it into them being kind or helpful. You will pay $50 to park, whether you valet or not, even if you’re only here for one night. FIFTY DOLLARS for 5+ hour “transient parking” or 50 per night of valet. We actually lost over $100 cancelling a non refundable room in another location that we were unhappy with and wanted to come to this hotel as an improvement to our trip and I truly wish we would have just stayed at the first crappy hotel. It was a lot cheaper and didn’t have mold. Overall, would not recommend this hotel at all and am very unhappy with the service and room.
