This hotel has a wonderful location. The room was clean and comfortable. The valet is a bit of a pain, but not unreasonably so. Just be prepared to wait a bit. The staff was helpful. We just showed up to see if there was a room available. There was, but it was cheaper online. So, we booked online. This will be our go to hotel if we're back in Savannah.

Well in Savannah we stayed at the Holiday inn in the historic district. We were totally impressed with the quality and the update of the hotel and the great price. We were close to all of the shopping, I mean walking distance. The hotel had a great buffet breakfast including super tasty bacon hot grits hot spicy eggs everything was good. The room was large and clean and the staff was very helpful. You had the option of valet parking or free parking on the street. We were able to get free parking right in front of the door and save this $46 a night.

Valet service was wonderful ! Marius was outstanding! From the moment I arrived, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. He handled my car with care, communicated clearly, and made the whole valet experience quick and stress-free. If you want great service, ask for Marius—he truly went above and beyond.

Pros:
- convenient location
- very sweet staff
- good american breakfast
Cons:
- having a diamond status we were given the room attached to the hallway air conditioner, it was buzzing 24/7
- minor, but very surprising - no trash bin in the bathroom, you don’t notice it until you need it, and you definitely need it
- pool water was not too clean, the surface was covered with some surface buildup

My biggest issue with this location is not the hotel, rooms, or location which are all fine. Its the service. First, there is no complimentary parking on-site. You have the option of either parking outside on some private lot for $45 dollars a night or have the hotel valet your vehicle for $45 a night. The correct answer is neither of these. Make the 3-min walk down two blocks for the MLK St. car park, its $12 a day.
Secondly, the reception is just not friendly and was very short with me when I had billing issues. They auto charge you for valet parking for however many day's you are staying. If you are parking off property you need to speak up.
