Nice location and pancake breakfast was wonderful. Easily located right off I95. Friendly staff and the view from our room on the back side of the hotel was wonderful. It was super quiet and convenient.

This would be an excellent hotel, but due to the incredibly rude employee that made a late check out a horrible experience and she lied to me about a conversationwith my husband, I have to rate this hotel a 1 star. They definitely need to replace the mattresses which were hard as a rock and need to make sure the trainees have someone there to help train them so they can understand procedures before making promises to hotel guest. I will not be returning to this hotel on my next visit to Savannah.

Update Jacob Altman lied to guest services that he had spoken to me and advised me. He also tried to suspend my Gold account with almost 300k points still on it due to his ego. They are holding me hostage because AMEX decided that this was indeed fraud. So I cannot do anything until he removes the fraud statement. Lol Instead of admitting that he was wrong. It’s not my fault that you need to steal money to fund this hotel. Maybe improve your services. What a crook. I never go down without a fight. I’ll pay 3x as much to see you in small claims. Made a reservation at 9PM and tried to cancel after 12AM. An appointment for my daughter opened and I had to take it. They refused due to the same day cancellation and told me I would be charged. Annoying as only hours had elapsed, but I get it. I tried to call corporate and get some grace, I mean sheesh, most years I make Diamond status and have never had to cancel last minute , and they said the same. The worker said she would ask her manager in the morning to waive the fee. I told the hotel staff AND the corporate line that I would make the reservation because I’m not giving them $150 for free. I told both of them. Got an email in the same morning that they cancelled anyways. I figured they offered some grace. No! They charged my card anyways that I am seeing on my credit card statement. I had to book another hotel in the area because I needed the accommodations so I’ve paid twice. This is fraud. Management. Address me by the name on my account ONLY. Nothing you’re saying is explaining why YOU cancelled my reservation and then proceeded to charge me and flag my account! Explain this.

I was having a great stay at this location. The area was beautiful and the hotel was clean. My great stay turned sour due to being racially profiled by the front desk employee Vanessa over complimentary bottles of water for Hilton rewards members. I was in the hotel lobby for about 10 minutes to ask for late check out and to use the microwave. I received the late checkout. I just got done speaking to Vanessa and was conversing with my friend at the microwave. My friend and I witnessed a Caucasian couple come in the hotel from the parking lot and ask for 2 bottles of water. Vanessa paused her videos on her phone and gave the waters to them without their Hilton membership status being checked. When I asked for 2 bottles of water I had to show proof that I am a member even though she just gave me late checkout by my reservation. I was then denied water bottles. I am a gold member and a person of color but that membership did not matter when a couple that just came in received waters without their membership being checked. If I had to show proof they should’ve been asked to do the same. I’ve never experienced this at other Hilton locations. I am truly disappointed on how my experience with this location ended.

This hotel was great, location was perfect too, room was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were kind, welcoming, and hospitable. I love the diversity in their staff throughout the hotels. We had a situation with checking in and the brunette woman, who I think may be a manager, she was so upbeat and chill about it and worked it out for us. Room Experience: Our room overall felt clean at entry and on our second day our room was cleaned and restocked with care. There are squeezeable soap and lotion stations in the bathroom, you may want to bring your own from home. It was cool to see the comforters are cleaned, we viewed them being brought from the laundry room when we entered the elevator. The housekeeping team members were great! The window view at night was cool to watch. The tv options were cool to me, beyond regular stations, there were games available to play for free and free Peloton exercise tv app. Seems like a great hotel for singles, couples, & families. Pets: The hotel is dog friendly, but aside from the shedded dog hair on the elevator carpets, it wasn’t a bad experience to have them there. I didn’t hear any barking, ever. Decor: Whoever designed & decorated needs a raise for picking the layout, furniture, lighting, colors, and Savannah mural. Awesome! There was upbeat music playing during breakfast and the people flowing through (whether getting breakfast, chatting at tables, playing pool, or simply walking through to checkout with their dog) made for a unique experience… felt like I was at a chill & chic airport. I loved it! Breakfast: The pancake machine was cool! You wave your hand and it makes 2 pancakes at a time. Each day we had the staples: Pancakes with options fixings, Eggs either scrambled or omelette turnovers, a meat, fruit medley and fresh whole fruit, yogurt and oatmeal with fixings, bagel/bread assortment, boiled eggs, coffee and drink dispensers. I think I saw cold cereal options but I cannot remember. The basics were covered, delicious, & filling! Overall: After our great 3 night stay here, to me, it seems like upper management must really care for/show appreciation to their team members and are attentive to the customer experience/satisfaction. Everything was flowing wonderfully. I definitely recommend this hotel and we would love to stay here again for future Savannah trips. Thanks Tru Hotel Team!
