The hotel rooms were tiny!
Due to the humidity in the room my clothes were always damp

Your rooftop Golden Hour wasn’t Golden In fact you could not get waited on to even get your “free drink” and that one little cup of olives that you called an appetizer
Don’t waste your time or money in this over priced hotel
We are Hilton Diamond members and this was by far the worst Hilton experience we have ever had

My wife and I spent two nights at the Drayton in a junior suite (Room 202), which is located at the corner of Drayton and Bay. It's a bit of a reach to call it a suite -- the door opens into a foyer with the bathroom on the left and the actual quarters straight ahead. The king bed was very comfortable. The decor is a bit strange (color scheme looks like something out of a children's preschool) but I am able to overlook this easily enough. While there is no actual chair or desk, there is an upholstered bench that ran along two of the walls, long enough to sit six adults. And there was a table on which one could set up a laptop.
The bathroom was a good size, although the shower stall (no tub) was oddly configured but then that can often be the case when shoehorning a hotel into a building that was designed for other uses. Regardless, that didn't affect the utility of the shower. The room featured Molton Brown toiletries -- soap, shampoo and conditioner in dispensers in the shower, and lotion in a dispenser by the sink. There was also plenty of room to spread out everything that both I and my wife brought with us. And there were two robes for our use in the closet.
One item to note if considering a stay here -- trucks of the 18-wheel variety regularly drive down Bay Street, which makes for a noisy environment. At first, I thought the noise was due to high winds but soon found out otherwise. I was able to block this out soon enough but if this sounds like the sort of issue that would bother you, request a room as far away from Bay Street as possible.
The lobby is very charming and comfortable. The staff with whom we interacted was very personable. And the building is centrally located to most anything you might want to walk to in the historic district. We parked across the street in a municipal garage ($20/day).
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Drayton and intend to return when we revisit Savannah.

I stayed at the Drayton for two nights over the Christmas holidays and while the location and cleanliness were outstanding several issues made the experience less pleasant than expected.
Location-perfect River St and the Historic District are steps away. The room was thoroughly clean. I appreciated spacious bathroom with excellent water pressure and Morton Brown products.
However, a torn and stained comforter was unacceptable for a luxury property. Upon arrival, no one staffed the valet which is the hotel's only parking option, with no signage or guidance. It turns out one person handles both valet and luggage delivery. Nonetheless, all valet staffs I encountered during my stay were very nice and professional.
The most annoying thing was that there was sound something like an electric current in the room, constantly made me wake up during night. Also, I couldn't use Golden Hour on Christmas Eve due to it not being offered. Front desk should have mentioned this at check in. Overall, the prime location and spotless room were highlights, but service inconsistencies didn't meet my expectation.

We planned a quick weekend getaway to enjoy the Christmas festivities in Savannah and chose The Drayton Savannah for its proximity to the riverfront and historic district. After reading reviews and viewing photos, it seemed like a perfect fit—and it truly was.
From check-in, we were warmly greeted and informed of the hotel’s amenities, including the Hilton member “Golden Hour” on the rooftop with complimentary cocktails and appetizers. We were also upgraded based on our membership status.
Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with excellent bedding. The hotel has a boutique feel—warm, intimate, and inviting—which we loved. If you’re looking for a large resort-style property, this may not be for you.
One evening we enjoyed cocktails in The Vinyl Room, a speakeasy-style lounge beneath the main restaurant. It’s very popular, so plan ahead. St. Neo’s Brasserie was also excellent, with delightful evening service (morning service was the only minor miss).
Overall, we loved our stay and would gladly return and recommend The Drayton Savannah.

This is just for the rooftop bar, we had a really ick experience last Friday. I guess the entire staff was just over the holiday spirit, we walked in and were turned away even though the bartender was still taking orders they said it was last call for walk ins and it wasn’t even 10 pm (on a Friday) — wouldn’t have been a big deal if everyone else wasn’t so rude. Hard to be jolly in such a grinch place
