We were in town to watch the Savannah Bananas and this trip actually stayed at a different hotel. We found out the #11 Old Town Trolley stop two blocks away and were told we could purchase tickets for the trolley at this hotel from the concierge. I was absolutely blown away with the concierge, Sandra‘s genuine hospitality and attention to helping us not just with tickets but explaining all of the different historical sites on the map she gave to us. Even though she knew we just walked in the door to buy tickets, she spent as much time with us as she did the hotel guests. The two other employees we ran into were also just full of southern hospitality. This stay was in a historical boutique hotel, but I know where I will be staying our next trip up.

I am a Travel Advisor. I reserved rooms for a group for St. Patrick Day Parade. I was trying to get a site visit for weeks. Leaving voice messages for the Sales Manager to call me, and spoke to the hotel front desk. No one responded. I called the corporate office, they gave me a case number and said the hotel manager will call me. I left my work number and personal number. Three days have passed still no call. I made reservations with another hotel chain and a better rate for my group. If this is the kind of treatment I am receiving just imagine how my clients would be treated. I can not use this hotel and I will notify my Home Office and other travel agencies about this hotel.

I loved this hotel it was in the middle of action it was new and clean but they did try to make it look antique with wooden floors and brick pillars I really liked the decor my room had great views of river roof pool had even better view and was a lot of fun great breakfast there was a little wait at coffee station and parking was tough I used porters which was the expensive option but the easiest I would highly recommend this hotel because of location and niceness

Savannah is a beautiful place to begin with, and this hotel fits right in. The Holiday Inn Express Savannah Historic District is set in a beautiful building and is perfectly located for exploring the city. The lobby, breakfast area, lounge, and conference spaces are all clean, well-kept, and inviting.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. During the day, there’s even a concierge available to help plan your itinerary if you’re in town for fun, which is a great touch.
The location is hard to beat — within easy walking distance to scenic views, great restaurants, watering holes, and more candy shops than you can count.
My room was comfortable and clean, with everything you need: TV, small fridge, microwave, Keurig, iron and board, blow dryer, toiletries, standard outlets plus USB plugs, and a safe. Everything felt well maintained.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Savannah.

Great location, pleasant staff.
Resort did look run down and poorly maintained.
Paper on the floor and box of pizza not removed over 24hr window.
A vacuum left in the middle of the hall overnight created a unavoidable trip hazard, taped elevator panel gave a sense of dismay and lack of care.
Great view from 9th floor.
Greatly recommend higher floors.
Covered parking for three days $15 literally next door, does not get better.
Breakfast was all you can eat with a wide selection. Rooms were comfortable, except for the ocasional cargo ship. Yes rooms can use more light!!
The Trolley stop right in front of the hotel!!
