we just stayed there Jan 1 to Jan 3, a clean hotel, comfortable, the staff were helpful and kind, Abby and Shery were pleasant at the front desk, the breakfast lady was great and kind, kept the free breakfast filled even though it was crowded. They could have used more seating. clean room, good hot shower, the bed sheets were clean, but they are starting to become thin and may need to be replaced. Great location, very busy location, and a crowded hotel. Valet staff are nice, But Very expensive. DONT valet, use the parking garage right next door 10 feet you'll save tons of money. Even using parking meters will save you money over the valet. They could use a few more luggage carts. There were some burnt-out bulbs in the room. They could use another lamp for lighting near the TV area; they didn't have an iron in the room, it was missing but they replaced it right away. Nice view from the top pool deck. Free breakfast was decent, but very busy if you go after 8am, I would stay again a

This was one of the most disappointing IHG hotels I've ever stayed at. I was traveling to the area and was getting in at 7am so I booked the room for the day before so I could check in at that time, which I confirmed was ok several times. When I arrived, I was greeted with a paper to sign and my key. No welcome or the usual acknowledgement of my Platinum member status/benefits. I requested a high floor room with a balcony. I was not only put on the 3rd floor but also in a conjoined room. As someone traveling alone, this made me a bit uncomfortable. But after a 12 hour trip and the fact I was already checked in, I figured the chances of getting another room was slim. This was also the dirtiest IHG hotel I've ever stayed in. You could tell it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. The door to my room had a huge gap in it between it and the door jam. There were stains all over the floors. The beds were clean and comfortable tho. The concierge and valets were very very friendly. However, the reception people were not. I went down to meet an uber person for food delivery around midnight, the lobby was totally empty and the receptionist no where to be seen. I was standing near the doors, waiting on my order. When the delivery person showed up and I got my food, I went to reception to get some waters. The receptionist finally came out, asked what I was doing. I said I just was getting a delivery and wanted to charge waters to my room. They did not greet me, just got my room number then watched me get onto the elevators. I had a balcony room so I expected some noise but it was INCREDIBLY loud. Like absolutely no sound proofing or even weather proofing was on the door leading to the very small balcony that didn't even have a chair. Between that and the fact I was in a conjoined room where I could very clearly hear the other guests entire conversations, it was a loud stay. I think the only reason this hotel has the stars it does is because of its location. Great location, one block from the river front. But personally I would never book here again and I wish I had just gone with my initial reaction to switch to another hotel.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This place has BED BUGS!! We stayed in room 327 from 12/19-12/22. Morning of checkout, I noticed a bed bug on a used towel in our bathroom. Upon further inspection, we found a live one on the linens next to the bed. We immediately notified the manager, Dakisha, who said she could not do anything for us (besides an $50 credit which covered one night of parking, and trash bags to transport our contaminated luggage, thanks) until a bug inspector comes out and confirms it is bed bugs. On morning 12/22, we were told that the inspector was en route. Two days later on Christmas Eve after lots of back and forth and miscommunication, they finally claimed there’s no infestation. Explain the bugs in our room then. Dakisha even told me that the bed bug on our towel was most likely already there from housekeeping, implying this is an established problem. Not one staff was fazed by us having bed bugs. Dakisha was not helpful at all and really started our holiday season off wrong. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again after this awful experience. This is a traveler’s worst nightmare.

Room was great with awesome views and great view of New Years fireworks. Perfect location and room was clean. Only part that wasn’t great was at breakfast. They weren’t adequately prepared for a full hotel. Two days we were there there was no food. Everything was gone. They had one lady and she could not keep up. I think overall the hotel was not prepared for the amount of people staying at the hotel. Would stay again because of the location and views!

AVOID!! (If not, you may be stranded in Savannah with nowhere to stay). We made a non-refundable (therefore non-cancellable) reservation on 11/24 through Holiday Inn’s site/app for 12/27. We arrived at check-in time at 4pm on 12/27 and did the first half of check-in (presenting ID, credit card to front desk) and were told Housekeeping was behind and our room wasn’t ready yet. They offered to let us leave our bags at front desk and they’d call when our room was ready. 40+ minutes passes so we leave our bags with front desk and go enjoy our evening. Six hours walking around Savannah having a good time. Arrive back at the hotel at 11pm (7 hours after initial check in) and are told we DO NOT have a room. They overbooked and whoever had our room decided to stay. So although we had already checked in and there was still a $500 hold on my credit card (and it was 11pm), we had nowhere to stay and no one bothered to call us in seven hours to tell us this. We had CHECKED IN. How do we not have a room? We were informed there was availability in their sister hotel 20 minutes away. The whole point of our trip was to stay downtown where we could walk everywhere… not in a poorly reviewed sister hotel where we would have to cross an interstate and drive into town (where no public parking was available). Unacceptable. Valet reported to us when retrieving our car that we were not the first people to report this that day. Don’t make the mistake we did and get stranded with this horribly run property and brand. After confirming neighboring hotels were completely sold out, we drove four hours home to Orlando overnight and will never book a Holiday Inn brand ever again. Avoid!!
