  Check in was quick and efficient and the clerk was cordial. As noted by others, the hotel location is close to the Riverwalk and other attractions/restaurants/etc The hotel had upgraded us to a corner king which provided a great view of the area surrounding the hotel. The room was smaller than any other Doubletree room we've stayed in. For the most part the room was clean with the exception of a layer of dust on the desk/tv stand. We were aware of the high cost of parking and we're able to book a park and stay package through the hotel, which reduced some of the parking cost. Even though we had this package I noticed, at checkout, that the hotel charged us for two nights of parking. The hotel removed the charges although it took some time. Had breakfast there and food was okay. Hostess was very friendly.

  Valet is a separate service. They were fast and friendly. Easily have your car ready using the app. The rooms were clean, noise machine provided, and comfortable bedding. Hotel still provides full service house keeping for the rooms everyday(towels/trash/bedding), which isn't common anymore. The service issue stems from cold showers everyday! We spoke to the desk each day about the issue and they acted surprised until we checked out. Then the statement changed to yeah, (chagrined face) we had an issue all weekend. If we would've been told the truth from the beginning, we would've been understanding. Not being forthcoming with the truth drops the rating.

  Comfortable stay and clean. Close to the Riverwalk with lots of dining and shopping within walking distance. Good security. Please note there is only valet parking which will cost you $45 per night. Hotel has a bar and a bistro that serves breakfast (extra fee), but not open everyday. This hotel does not have a pantry or snack vending. This hotel is on a busy street in the city so you will hear a lot of road noise at all hours.

  The room we stayed was terrible. Road noise was unbearable. Could not get a wink of sleep and there is nothing the staff was willing to do to other than offering us with earplugs and sound machine; maybe they did not have an alternative. This review is more about DoubleTree than the staff. We basically paid money to suffer. Also, there is valet parking only ($45+) and no shuttle service of any kind. Will never stay in this hotel (or the hotel chain) again.

  We had a great stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Savannah Historic District and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our entire trip. We want to give a special shout-out to two staff members who made our experience truly memorable: Destiny: She served us at the bar in the evening and again at breakfast the next morning. She was incredibly pleasant and professional, providing excellent service with a great attitude. Jamie (Valet): Jamie provided outstanding valet service. She was extremely helpful, responsible, and made the arrival and departure process seamless. The hospitality here is top-notch, and the location is perfect for exploring the Historic District. We look forward to staying here again!
