I'm not sure what's going on at this hotel, other than it has had it's run through without the proper maintenance and upkeep to keep it a clean, updated hotel. The first room we got seemed as if someone had lived in it for a while. Which might have been the case, more like an extended stay vibe, a little run down with a funky smell. The front desk attendant was kind enough to change our room to a "less used room." This room had less wear and tear, but was still very low end with cheap bedding, towels, plastic showers with no tubs, stained wallpaper, with dirty drains that should be replaced. Bedding had a large stain, carpet had a dirty feel to it. Dust on lamps and lamp shades. I actually took off the ac cover to clean it and behind it in the shower once I saw the black dust on the outside of the cover. I tried to make it through our stay with all of this, but the last straw was the smell in the elevator and hallways. The elevator stinks, bad, walls look kind of dirty, the hallway doors are all scratched up to all the rooms. The smell from the elevator goes into the hallway making me think it's the carpet which needs a good shampoo or replacement. To make matters worse, the next day there is an even stronger smell of some sort of air freshener trying to cover this all up. This smell is so strong it made me sick to my stomach and had to pack up with two more nights paid up. The breakfast was disappointing as well. The lobby was being doused with spray lysol on my way out. Instead of whipping down tables they were spraying them.. i looked over in the cleaning bin in lobby to see 10 plus bottles of febreeze aerosol sprays while I was walking out. I was being fumigated staying in this place with fowl smells. My stomach felt better once I was out and relaxing in another local hotel that just has no smells really...
I hate leaving a bad review, but it really needs some serious changes to be a successful business or a healthy environment for anyone.
The grill was very nice to use one evening, with grill utensils available in the lobby.

Our visit to the Home2 Suites was very nice around Thanksgiving. I appreciated the size of the room and the couch area. I did not use the kitchen but it looked like everything you might need was provided. Unlike a lot of hotels, I felt this room had adequate electrical outlets for all our devices and phone chargers and they were placed in convenient locations.
I loved the walk-in shower since I have bad knees. I was told that most rooms do have showers only. I've attached a picture of the shower since there didn't seem to be one on their website and I always look for this.
I had my preference for a high floor in my account profile and put it in the request section of the reservation, but when it came time to choose my room the only options were on the two bottom floors of the four-story building. I did hear some noise from above the room because of this.
I was told that the best way to get my preferences for a high floor and to make sure to get a walk-in shower was to call the hotel directly about five minutes after making the reservation online. I will do that the next time we plan to stay here.

The rooms are really nice, breakfast was great and it truly is a dog friendly hotel, however, the side doors not unlocking correctly was quite inconvenient with being a dog owner and we heard other people having issues with it as well talking to the front desk.
