Upon arrival came to find out the hotel was actively being renovated so it just smells like wall paper glue and the fitness center is closed. When I checked in I was given a key to a room that was occupied! One of my coworkers was initially checked into a room that had yet to be cleaned. On that note, when I returned to my room after being gone for the day, the cleaning staff had made up 1 of the 2 beds and left one bed completely unmade, didn’t take out the trash or provide fresh towels so I’m unsure what they were actually doing in my room. When I brought it up to the manger, her only response was, “ok, ok”. That was it. No follow up questions, no apology, no attempt to rectify the situation. There are a dozen hotels within a mile of this place and I’m sure they would all be a better choice.

So far, my stay at Best Western has been good overall. The front desk staff has been friendly, helpful, and professional during check-in and throughout my stay, and the rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. One issue is the shower in my room. It appears to have installation problems and is literally zip-tied to a bar in the shower to hold it together, which causes the shower head to spray water everywhere instead of properly where it should. The bigger concern was breakfast this morning. Breakfast is posted as 6:00–9:00 AM. I arrived at 5:58 and was told they were not ready yet, which was completely fine, so I sat down quietly and waited. The breakfast attendant seemed visibly irritated that I and other guests were sitting there waiting, even though no one was being rude, asking questions, or rushing her. By 6:04, since I had to leave for work, I walked up to grab a plate. She told me to wait again, and I politely explained that I was sorry, but I had to get to work. At that point, the only thing not out yet was the serving spoons. When she finally brought them out, she became even more upset, huffing and puffing as more guests walked up. She then went to the front desk, pointed at me, and openly talked about me to the front desk employee. My coworkers overheard the conversation as well. I asked for the manager’s business card so I could address the issue professionally, but no one had one available and no one could provide me with a manager’s name or contact information. Waiting a few extra minutes was never the problem—it was the attitude, the unprofessional behavior, and being talked about in front of other guests that made the experience disappointing.

My mistake: not reading online reviews before booking 2 rooms for 4 nights. And let me preface, we were okay with renovations....but it should have been posted on website that restaurant and bar were closed for renovations! I booked here because of location and indoor pool. Check-in / front desk staff, with exception of Ms Kimbrough and Amer... both of whom were professional and friendly, need to attend Customer Service 101....especially Faye. One of our rooms had 5 people with towels for 2 people. We asked every day...sometimes twice....for more towels. When in the lobby, I asked Faye why we didn't get towels: she asked me with whom I had spoken....I said YOU! She was not happy with me. We needed sheets and pillows for pull-out sofa.....went to front desk only to be told there were none. Wrong answer: my son-in-law looked in open housekeeping closet and was able to find sheets and a blanket....no pillows. Leaving my room to get ice one night, I saw an employee deliver towels to another room....NOT EITHER OF OUR ROOMS...walk a few more feet to look at trash put outside a door by another guest....then walk away....REALLY? Breakfast on Friday was completely wiped out by 8:15 am. I asked if there was any more bread, muffins, bagels, or yogurt. I was told NO. Not a good answer with little kids waiting to eat. The pool: never any pool towels, and in desperate need of a cleaning and a chemical check. I asked Faye about it, and she told me it was cleaned last week! I might call the Health Dept. and suggest they inspect the pool. Also, all of the doors to the pool were ajar. I asked about this at the front desk and was told the night watchman would make sure everything was secure. At 6 am next morning, one of the doors was still ajar because it could not be closed. Lastly, when I read reviews, the GM continuously responded that he would address the issues, and hoped writers would consider staying there again. Not sure how this could be called Premier?? Sorry.....will not stay here again and definitely do not recommend.

THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL IVE EVER VISITED. First, we arrived to find out the hotel is under construction. We were not informed of this on the website or when booking through an agent. The entire downstairs of the hotel is a construction mess. The amenities they claim to have were unavailable due to construction. The indoor pool was dirty. Second, the customer service and cleanliness of the rooms were both terrible. We stayed three nights and our room was never cleaned or restocked through the visit. I repeatedly called the front desk (from my cellphone because the room phone was disconnected) to ask for more towels and supplies and was ignored. We ended up having to purchase more washcloths and soap to use in our rooms because the staff doesnt understand that 4 sets of towels are needed when 4 guests are staying in a room. The trash in our room was never emptied, and the hot water went out during our stay. We heard many guests complaining because they checked into dirty rooms, and saw multiple police cars called to the hotel each night we stayed. I’ve called customer service to file a complaint. The manager over this property, Mathew James, needs to hire more professional staff who will actually do their jobs. There is no reason for basic necessities to be ignored and to have staff who don’t apologize or take customer concerns seriously. This hotel needs to be shut down until all construction is complete and the staff are properly trained and held accountable.

Where to start? Construction underway with no notification. Make shift front desk area. Left after being told no check in until 4 pm (it was 3 pm when I asked). No problem, we understand check ins. Came back, given room and went thru very hazardous walk to get to elevators. Trip hazards everywhere, razor blades left on common areas, tile spacers all over floor/walkway (another trip hazard). Room decent until time to shower. NO HOT WATER! Went to dinner, came back and still no hot water at 745 pm. Called front desk and was told "It's just a filter issue, maintenance is here fixing it and you'll have hot water momentarily. 930 pm still NO HOT WATER. Go to bed to take shower in morning and pull "drapes down" and zero darkness, full light thru these useless screens (see pics at 12 midnight)! Get up to shower, NO HOT WATER! Call front desk and "We may have a slight issue with our hot water heater " yea no kidding. Go to breakfast downstairs at 7 am and there is a LOUD AND I MEAN LOUD group yelling laughing screaming cheering in the front desk (makeshift) area and it goes on for several minutes, so loud that the lady in charge of the food is making comments about the noise. I mean isn't the front desk person right there!? Just a horrible experience and would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Pictures shown. Also, tried to use iron and it's held by blue tape, and the nearest FIRE EXIT IS BLOCKED, SAFETY HAZARD!
