I normally like Holiday Inn Express, but this one was disappointing. There was some kind of issue with the air conditioner. We went out for the day so I raised it to 74. (We like it lower at night). But when we got in, everything was just slightly damp. The bedding, the floor, and the fabric couch. It was gross walking barefoot because the carpet was sticking to the bottom of your feet. Knowing this about the A/C unit, we kept it at 70 and the dampness issue never came back. I understand that not many people may use the pool, but we are not even close to the peak of winter and yet it looks like management has given up on cleaning the pool. There were so many leaves in the pool and even the handrail covers were falling apart. We started loading our vehicle at 10 a.m. to leave, but upon trying to reenter the hotel, I couldn't. The inside sliding door to the hotel was still locked! At 10 AM! I saw it happen to someone else a few minutes later. I understand the need to lock the doors at night, but when you can't even unlock the doors during normal business hours, then I guess you really don't want business. You certainly won't get mine anymore. The bed was kinda saggy (either because it is a soft mattress or just old and worn) but it at least was clean. The bathroom was clean as well. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast seating area isn't large enough, esp. on the weekends. If you use GPS to find the hotel, don't look for the road sign, there is none there where it meets the main road. Look for the hotel sign.

The rooms are a little dank but for work travels or a quick stay, its not too bad. The service is friendly, breakfast isnt bad, the coffee is ever flowing, and if you need anything, the front desk is there and helpful. Ice machines work, the room was clean, and the AC is nice and cold. Not a bad place, breakfast opens at 6 which is really nice since work has me in early. The lack of washing machines is an issue however. Overall not too bad

Room smells of mold and moisture. Both end tables and “desk” are dirty and have drink rings on them. Definitely not up to par with a normal holiday inn. If my coworkers and I weren’t so tired from a long day I would leave.
