Room was dirty, nasty as a matter of fact. Above our room was a knock from some type of equipment, during the day and all thru the night.
Other guest had the same complaints with no resolve . Reservations were for four days but left after two; no refund on other days !! Manager said there was nothing she could do even though the reservation was made directly to the Holiday Inn .
BTW, we were celebrating our 45th anniversary.
Left very dissatisfied and sad…. October 2025.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our driver, Donna. From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, friendly, and incredibly professional. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire ride. Her driving was smooth and safe, and she was so personable that it felt like we were riding with someone we’ve known for years.
Donna truly went above and beyond, and she made our stay that much more enjoyable. We can’t say enough great things about her—she is a standout member of your team, and we greatly appreciated her exceptional service.

My first night here was horrible, and the 2nd wasn't much better. I arrived at night. I was the only one in the lobby, so they got me checked in pretty quickly. The staff was very nice and friendly. A previous guest turned on the parental lock on the TV and forgot to turn it off so channels were limited. Maintenence came right over and luckily was able to fix it. I'm not a fan of hotel rooms opening up directly to the outside world. I guess I'll have to take the hit for that one for not checking first. That night it rained and the satellite TV went out. It came back on about 35 minutes later. After I went to bed, I heard all kinds of noises all night long. I never got to sleep. I could hear people walking by, some with their pets, rain hitting the door and windows, cars driving by, and the wind blowing. In order to get ice, you have to leave your room, weather the elements, walk outside back to the lobby and navigate to the second floor. 🤦🏽♀️ The room was clean and well maintained. The closet was so small it was a joke. And only 4 hangers available. Tiny table and 2 chairs were unusable because it wasn't enough room. The next night wasn't any better. While sitting up in the bed watching TV, I felt something brush across my arm. I looked down, and it was a medium size bug scurrying across the bed taking shelter under the sheets. I jumped out of bed and looked for something to kill it from the bathroom. When I came back, it had completely disappeared! I looked for over an hour 👀 needless to say, I sat in the chair all night long and couldn't go to sleep. In all my life, I've never had a creature in the bed with me except my cat, so I was pretty shook. Daytime came and as I left my room I finally got a view of the property from the ocean side. The grounds were well maintained and the view of the ocean was beautiful. They even had a fire pit that I never saw anyone use at night nor in the daytime. My experience here may have been a one off of a bad stay, but I cannot come back to this location. Jekyll Island has much to offer so I may return, but I will definitely be at a different resort 😕

Beautiful spot on the ocean. The restaurant was a very easy spot.to e joy food with a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful and the peach and jalapeno pizza was a tasty surprise.
The place is family friendly and our son l9ved the outdoor movie night.
Our room 267 needs some love. The stove had one nonfunctional burner and one that we had to play with to get to work. There is a missing dimmer light switch too by the stove.
The hotel doesn't stick by the pet policy well. There were some uncrated large dogs barking and jumping on the windows in Room 269. We stopped using the stairs on the side for fear they may get out and hurt our children. Unfortunately some pet owners didn't pick up after their dogs either so watch your step.
The location and Restaurant and Coffee bar staff really made the trip great but fixing up some maintenance issues and policing poor pet owners would make this a 5 star place. We' will probably come back and hope that the maintenance issues are just waiting to be addressed during the slower season.
