I put my reservations in. I put in that I would like a floor level room and a walk-in shower, I have issues with my legs and it’s hard for me to get in and out of a bathtub. So upon check In I asked the girl at the desk if they sell my note that I put in on my reservations that I needed a walk-in shower and a first floor level room because they do not have an elevator and I told her I have leg issues the manager, or somebody was there and she was kind of rude saying that they could not give me a walk-in shower. She said they didn’t have any. They only have tub showers here, which is a lie. They don’t com accommodate people with disabilities very well at this hotel and it’s very upsetting. The shower was very slick. I will never ever stay here again. First stop I don’t like being lied to and second of all they could have accommodated me and gave me what I asked for. I paid money for This room I should get what I asked for. Anyone that is staying at this hotel please call before you make a reservation. I am so mad

The location was perfect! We were able to walk to do most everything we wanted. The service was excellent! Every employee we encountered during our stay was friendly. The rooms were typical. The only issues we had during our stay with the room was the heat/air (Believe room number was 222, separate building, up the stairs & 2nd room from left end). We would set it on a temp, say 70, & you would start to feel cold and look at the thermostat says it’s 65…. Not sure if these are older units that should be replaced or if they just require some monthly maintenance. Also the bathtub would not hold water, the stopper had come halfway unscrewed, fixed it myself, no big deal. Breakfast was typical, Jimmy Dean sandwiches (bacon & sausage), boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, bananas & apples. Variety of coffee & teas as well as apple juice & orange juice and hot chocolate. The pool was decent. Pool area needs some maintaining, plants needed care and the area needed to be cleaned up of some debris, sliding doors along the sides need replacing…. One of the ice machines was down while we were there, finally able to find the other one with help from an employee. All in all, even with the few ‘problems’ I would stay here again.

This hotel is reasonably priced and in a great location for walking around. All the staff I interacted with were very nice and the beds and pillow were comfortable which is a plus. However, if you are staying any longer than one night, I’d advise spending more money and staying elsewhere. After a long 8 hour drive, I was looking forward to taking a hot shower. Well the hot water only lasted for 2-3 mins and then was ICE cold. Mind you it’s like 30 degrees outside so a cold shower isn’t exactly relaxing. The window shade in the room was broken and then a weird tissue was left in the peephole. Also, most of the parking lot near the room was fenced off for construction. Again, favorable location and if you like cold showers and want to save a bit of money, this is your place!
I booked a hot tub room. Room 124. You fill the tub up, you have about 10 minutes until the tub drains. Turn the jets off, you can hear the tub drain loudly.. at a rapid rate. (I have video.) There is no way that this is the first they've heard of this issue. It's significant. Want to cool your room off? Put your ac on 61, high fan.. and the fan never kicks on. It leaks whatever air temperature you get. No matter whst you put the unit in.. it's exactly the same. The chances that there are two major issues in this room without them knowing are slim to none.
*I extended my stay another day? Thanks for informing me. I checked in yesterday, and I am currently writing this from my couch in my living room. 🤦♀️
Now I'll have to check with my bank to make sure you guys didn't charge me for another day.
The reason I did not say anything is because I was only there overnight. I was out all day. By the time I got back to the room later in the evening and discovered this, it wasn't worth moving rooms because I was leaving at 6 am.
We only needed one night here, but for the price, this was a great spot. The room was clean, and we were within walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see. There was plenty of parking, and we liked being able to park right near our door. Anyone worried about an elevator needs to get out more- these types of hotels/motels don't have those. That's been the case for decades.
We didn't notice much noise from the other rooms, and though the TV worked fine for us, a storm affected the signal several times, which we were fine with, but don't see very often. We don't rely so much on a TV needing to work, though.
Overall this is a great spot to stay when in Helen!
