    I spoke to lady previously about bad experiences before I checked in & she said she understands & I told her that's why I started staying at holiday inn . Make a long story short there was bugs, multiple bugs landed on my wife in the middle of the night & she threw them off of her. Spoke to the lady at the front desk before we checked out the next morning & she said someone would contact me about it & I haven't got a response so here's the post letting them know how I feel about them correcting the issue considering I could have been a jerk but I wasn't. Check Your Room For Bugs!!!!

    We arrived Saturday around 2:45. Check in per IHG is 3 o'clock. Shanna, the desk clerk on duty, informed me out rooms were not ready and it would be at least 45 minutes before they were. My wife and I sat in the lobby and finished our late lunch. In the mean time I watched the shift change where "Shanna" got off and Melissa took over. this was about 3:15. We were never acknowledged by either Shanna or Melissa. At 3:30 I went to the desk and asked when our rooms would be ready. Melissa, the oncoming clerk asked my name and said the rooms had been ready. I told her about Shanna, she said she was never told we were waiting. So apparently Shanna is completely incompetent at her job. Melissa apologized profusely and got us checked in. Getting to the room, I noticed the shower doors were so dirty you couldn't even see through them. By this time I was completely disgusted with this hotel. We stayed the night. Having breakfast the next morning, the juice machines were empty, they coffee machines both displayed notices stating they needed to be cleaned. This is a very poorly managed hotel. My status is Diamond Elite. I stay at IHG across the country weekly as IHG is my go to hotel chain. Not all locations are perfect. I can honestly say this was the worst experience at any IHG hotel I have stayed at.

    What good is the phone number if you can't in touch with the hotel in Helen GA. I have never been asked about a pet when staying at a Holiday Inn. This is the only Holiday Inn that charged me $230 pet policy for one night and was never asked. Service animals are supposed to be welcomed. My wife does have a service dog which is a Chihuahua. She is registered. I have reached out to IGH and I have to keep contacting them,which I was told that I would be contacted but I keep getting told to call the hotel or email them. We stayed December 23, 2025 for one night.

    Awful customer service at the front desk. Slow check in process. Check out was worse. Never was greeted by the front desk personnel. They were too busy talking to a fellow employee. Left behind personal items. I was told they would be sent. Never received my Left behind items. Management doesn’t know what is going on. Would not recommend Follow up to this review. 2 1/2 weeks later, I contacted both management and the Hotel. No help. The items I left behind are gone. No one knows where they are. I was contacted by Melissa and confirmed my mailing address for return. Left three messages and an email with her and she never responded. Management passes the buck to Melissa and the hotel. Melissa never responds. It’s like a circus. Beware. These people do not care about their guests. Avoidance is there response to help. Shameful for the amount of money you pay to enjoy your cozy town. Do not book.

    I’ve been to Helen, GA three times and this was the nicest hotel thus far. Clean, modern, and well kept. The breakfast was great! They have an indoor pool and nicely stocked gym. It is on the end of the Main Street, but it was still conveniently located to several restaurants and activities. My only suggestion is a full length mirror in the room and more hooks for wet towels. I will definitely book my next stay here!
