  It is definitely in the lower end of Holiday Inn Expresses, but it is under construction (March 2026), so maybe it’ll be better in the future. It’s not bad, but not great.

  This hotel is under renovation as warned. The lobby is very dark and uninviting. The check in person was nice. The elevator is in need of updating but is working. We were glad to have an updated room. The dark carpet that disguised the unseeable is gone! It is replaced by LVP. New furnishings are nice. However, it still has the old noisy HVAC unit that cannot be adjusted. The room seems clean enough. Except the floor by the tables appears to be greasy. I don’t think the cleaning staff is equipped with steam mops. A vacuum would not be able to clean grease off the floor. The bathroom is nicely renovated. We heard from another couple travelers that this is their 4th attempts to get a decent hotel for the night. In all, we are grateful.

  I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Forsyth by IHG and unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, but there was no clear communication about the extent of the work. At one point, the water was turned off, which created a significant inconvenience. Updates are clearly needed throughout the property, and while renovations are underway, guests should be properly informed ahead of time. The room configuration was another major issue. I booked a king room, but the layout was extremely tight. The king bed felt oversized for the space, leaving very little room to move around. There was barely enough space to open a suitcase, which made the stay uncomfortable and impractical. On a positive note, the hotel is very easy to access from the highway, which is convenient for travelers. The complimentary breakfast was also very good, with a solid variety of options and a well-maintained dining area. Overall, the location and breakfast were strong points, but the renovation disruptions, water outage, and poor room layout made this stay frustrating. I would consider returning only after renovations are fully completed and room configurations are improved

  Room needs updated. Refrigerator is dented furniture has stains and there is a q tip in the sitting chair. Sheets were not fitted to the mattress. Bathroom floors were dirty and towels were thrown on the bar. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.
