The stay was great they are currently renovating the building which made parking a bit difficult but not to bad. Otherwise it's a great Holiday Inn.

I was awakened to screeching sounds and loud voices. Only to have bear continuous banging /construction noise below me. At the very least book rooms away from construction. Front desk seemed disinterested and did not provide any remedy. Choose somewhere else

I just spent the night there. Arrived later than anticipated due to weather and traffic. I asked if they had decaffeinated coffee. The woman at the desk made me a brand new pot. How wonderful is that. It's an older hotel. However, the room was clean and really that's what you want in a hotel room. A nice bed, nice pillows and clean. So was everything I needed

We chose this property due to its generally positive reviews and the ability to use points for a free night. Upon arrival (after a 12 hour drive from northern Indiana), we were told by the front desk staff that the water had just been turned on after being off for the past 6 hours to do renovations, and to run our sink and shower when entering our room. I understand ongoing renovations, but there absolutely should have been an email from the hotel management staff or a notification in the app about the water issue. We arrived on day 3 of the 4 days of posted shut offs (during a holiday weekend, nonetheless) where the water was scheduled to be turned off for 6-8 hours per day. Had we been notified of the issue I would have cancelled and switched hotels. It was very inconvenient to not be able to shower, wash our hands, or brush teeth while waiting 30 minutes for the water to run clear, again after 12 hours of travel. Even the next morning, one of the members of our party had brown residue on their towel after showering from the water turning brown again. Thankfully, we were only there for one night and did not have to be subject to multiple hours with no working water. The beds were also extremely hard; we usually stay at IHG properties (mainly holiday inn express) while traveling and the beds at this property were not the same as all others. It legitimately felt like sleeping directly on a box spring. Again, if we were not only staying one night to rest and continue our travels we would have left and chosen another nearby hotel. Why there was no notification about the water issue before checkin when the hotel knew about the shutoffs is beyond me.

Arrived for a 2 day stay and found out the water would be off for 6 hours. I booked 3rd party, so figured it wasn't worth the fight.
1. Area around elevators smelled like sewer.
2. First room had hole in the ceiling over toilet. Water on the floor- looked like a fresh leak. 3rd floor stank.
3. Went back down, got different room, 2nd floor also smelled bad- but with water issues, I figured it was related.
4. Both rooms had badly peeling wallpaper, some mold in bathrooms. Very surprised to see wallpaper in a bathroom.
5. Bathrooms are incredibly small, corner rooms with corner sink.
6. Water was off 6 hours, then after that water was on but unusable. Ran reddish brown for 2 hours. I asked about safety/ breakfast the next day and they said the water was fine. It was not fine.
7. I ended up buying a gallon of water at a local place and avoiding using the water from the taps because it still had sand/ grit the next morning. I didn't eat breakfast either day due to health concerns with the water.
I'm not a terribly picky person, but this is the worst hotel I have ever experienced outside of like a $30 strip motel. Literally just wanted 2 days to relax, and it was a nightmare. Staff was also pretty dismissive both times I tried to talk to them about pretty major issues.
