    Front desk staff Corey was friendly and efficient, making check-in quick and easy. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, providing a pleasant stay overall.

    Upon check-in, I discovered the toilet in my room was not functioning. When I contacted the front desk that evening, I was told there was nothing they could do until 7am the following morning and that no rooms were available for a transfer — despite two rooms showing available on the hotel’s own booking site that same night. The next morning I had to initiate every single follow-up myself. Maintenance did not arrive at the promised 7am. I called at 7:30am and again at 8:08am before anyone came up. In between those calls I received a callback from a staff member who asked if I needed a plunger, making clear she had no knowledge of my situation despite it being documented the night before. Staff gave me conflicting information about room availability multiple times throughout the morning. Maintenance eventually confirmed something was clearly wrong with the toilet and we were moved to another room. When I spoke with the GM, her initial response was that she could not issue a refund and offered only loyalty points. A partial discount was only offered after I repeatedly pushed back, asked to speak with the owner, and made clear I intended to escalate further. No resolution was offered proactively at any point — every step required me to advocate for myself. The room itself and the new room were fine. The issue was entirely with how the situation was handled — poor internal communication, no proactive outreach, and a management team that had to be pressured into offering even a partial resolution for a non-functional toilet.

    We always stay here as a halfway point to meet my son’s dad. Thoroughly impressed by the newly renovated rooms, which we got on this last visit. The service is always great, rooms are safe and clean and this place is very reliable. Also love the location right off the interstate. Highly recommend!

    One thing I can say is dont stay here unless you like being treated with disrepect.. My mom is 75 with deminihia and they were complaining about her walking around in lobby.. On top they have no concern about people health and safety as well as life issues if someone get sick.. NOT TO MENTION DONT CARE IF SOMEONE IS SICK AND CANT GET OUT OF BED DUE TO DIRREA AND WAS TOLS TO GET OUT OF BED AND COME PAY FOR ANOTHER NIGHT WAITING ON CLEAN CLOTGS

    I had a really frustrating experience at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta NE - Duluth by IHG due to inconsistent policies and communication. A month ago, in February, my husband booked a room through a third-party site and listed me as the second guest. At that time, I was able to check in without any issues, even though the reservation was under his name. This has also been my experience at other Holiday Inn locations and hotels in general. This time, the reservation was again booked under my husband’s name and I was listed as a second guest. I arrived first around check-in time because he wasn’t able to make it by 3 PM. When I tried to check in, the front desk employee (not sure if he was a manager as he was a bit more dressed that day) told me I couldn’t because I wasn’t the person who booked the reservation. I explained that I was listed as a guest and had checked in before without problems, but he insisted that only the person who booked the room could check in. I even asked if my husband could call the hotel to confirm that I could check in, which I was I told that I could do in the past with another holiday inn hotel, but he refused and told us we would have to contact the third-party website to change the reservation name. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the name changed and I waited about 3 hours for my husband to arrive from work. I understand that policies exist, but the problem is the inconsistency. If this had been enforced the first time we stayed here at this exact hotel (literally only been a month since we were last here), we would have known and planned accordingly. Instead, I was allowed to check in before under the exact same circumstances, which made this situation very confusing and frustrating. There was also another issue with late checkout. The day before we had to checkout, a different employee told us it would be fine to checkout a little later and that we could just let the front desk know. However, the morning of checkout, when my husband wanted to confirm with the front desk, the same employee who wouldn’t let me check in said we couldn’t check out late because we didn’t book through them but through a third party site. Again, my husband is an IHG member and booked it through a third party but still never had an issue with late check out at other locations. OR even when we were here A MONTH AGO- the SAME circumstances as when we asked for late checkout, they allowed us to checkout late then! So I don’t see why this time was different. Everything we did a month ago was the exact same we did this time. When asked why the other employees said it was ok in the past, his answer was that these policies have been effective for over 10 years and the employees were not enforcing the policies correctly. IF this has been a policy for over 10 years then why am I being told different things from just a month apart! My issue is that the policies were never addressed correctly to us and we had no way of knowing. They could have just let us off with a warning so that we can remember what to expect when booking again. Experiences like this make it hard to want to come back. It feels like every employee gives a different answer, so you never really know what the actual policy is. Clear and consistent communication from staff would make a big difference.
