My stay at Hilton Garden Inn Dalton was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was infested with ladybugs, to the point where it was impossible to be comfortable. Ever since leaving the property, my skin has been itching, which is extremely concerning.
When we brought this issue to management, instead of offering accommodations or even basic customer service, the manager laughed at us and completely dismissed our concerns. Things escalated further when we politely asked for her first and last name and the corporate contact number — she then called the police on us and forced us to check out and leave the property.
This behavior was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate. No guest should ever be treated this way for simply raising a legitimate concern about cleanliness and safety.
I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Save yourself the stress, discomfort, and poor treatment — you will regret it.

I think it’s safe to say that I will more than likely never stay at this hotel again. I stayed with a friend from February 14-16, and for what we paid, it wasn’t worth the money. So right off the bat when we walk in, we are surprised with a $250 “locality” fee. This was not disclosed when we booked on the website, and if it was, it had to be in extremely fine print. So, obviously we are already mad because we had to dig into the money that we were going to use to hang out. Secondly, the girl up front told us that she would mark the fee down to $150. We asked her if she could do $100, and if not, we would definitely pay the $150. She said that she would call her manager to ask about the $100 instead of us paying $250. Mind you, we called several times before we arrived for our reservation and were never given a heads up about this fee. So she calls her manager and her manager demands that we pay the full $250 because it was Valentine’s Day despite the girl up front promising we would only have to pay $150. At this point, we are fed up and we just want to go to our room. So obviously we ended up paying the non-disclosed fee. Well, we get to our room, and the “jetted tub” that we paid almost $700 to get to is TINY. Then, there are two bottles of water sitting on the counter that were $3 A PIECE. You can literally buy a whole case of water for $5 and some change at the local Walmart. So obviously we ended up using the sink water to put in our microwaveable meals because we are not going to get price gouged for an off brand bottle of water that isn’t even cold. To add on to that, there was an INFESTATION of ladybugs everywhere in which they ended up crawling all over our drinks and food. While it’s understandable that the ladybugs are common at this time of year, as a large and expensive hotel, they should’ve had that issue under control before having a guest enter the room. One of the nights we were there, we asked for towels. Instead of them giving us the towels at the front desk, we had to wait 2 HOURS just before they brought us what we asked for. Even then we had to call back and ask what the hold up was on bringing us a couple of towels. Well, we try to overlook all of this and go to the pool. You would think with it being an indoor pool, it would’ve been warm or that they would have something to keep the pool warm. The water was FREEZING the entire time we were there. The next morning, we order breakfast because we figured that we would take advantage of the non disclosed $250 fee that we were forced to pay. Not only did they get my order wrong, but the food was cold and did not taste like it was “cooked to order”. On top of that, it says on the website when booking that there is “breakfast included”. It doesn’t disclose that you have to pay for it. It’s very misleading and vague. So we spent almost $20 on breakfast that tasted worse than the days inn hotel which is sad because their breakfast is free. Oh, and forget the so called “room service”. We were told when checking in that it could be ordered to be brought to our room, but that was evidently a lie. My friend had to go downstairs to get it. This was possibly the WORST experience out of a hotel than I could’ve imagined. We paid almost $700 to get treatment that a cheaper hotel could’ve done 100x better. This place needs to get their act straight. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone whatsoever and I am highly disappointed with how much we paid for such horrible service. Do better Hilton Garden Inn.
EDIT: I am APPALLED by how the owner responded to my review with no willingness to resolve our situation. The reply to this review was dismissive and just trying to put a cover up on our horrible stay. I now DEFINITELY do not recommend coming to this hotel because any issues you might have will not be resolved, but instead dismissed. This is a horrible business.
