Before I go into detail, this hotel was currently in the process of renovating. So I won’t penalize anything against them because they are trying to get better.
When we arrived, the check in was super easy and we were greeted by staff. They involved us in the social event which they have Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday which had some nice food.
The room we checked into was a two room suite. (Since I was traveling with my kids) the master bedroom was very spacious with a king bed and nice bathroom and the other had the same but it was a queen. Nice living room area and kitchen.
There was one small issue with the bathroom door in the kids room which my daughter brought to my attention that the door didn’t shut properly so I talk to management and within 15 minutes the handyman came and fixed it. There was another which the lower right side of a panel that was broken but seeing as we were only here for 3 days I considered it not to be an issue.
My wife told me that our daughter complained about blood on her pillow cover and that she hadn’t had an injury so she didn’t know where it came from. So we took the covers and things off the bed hoping that housekeeping would give us new but that didn’t happen. I had to go down and ask for new covers. I don’t know if they communicated this or not but the manager was going to say something to them but like I said to him maybe they forgot and it’s fine. I have what was needed and we’ll take care of it.
They breakfast is fair and good. It’s got your staples of waffles, eggs, toast etc.
The parking is free and there are plenty of spaces during the day. The location is in a nice area of Augusta. You can walk to a lot of places. Not much noise since you’re close to the highway.
We were on the fourth floor and the hallway were always nice and clean. No smells or anything out of the normal when it came to the carpets.
Overall, I really don’t have anything negative to say about this place. They are working to get it in a better shape. I was obviously not thrilled over the lackluster housekeeping but we made due. Along with the current work that is going on to the building I hope that would spill into the service/housekeeping
I can say that this will a great place to stay and would recommend to others. If we come back to Augusta this is a hotel on my return list.

Special Thank you to Ms. April Smith for going above and beyond to assure my family and I had a great stay last weekend on August 30th. There was another young lady at the front desk after Ms. April left. I can't remember her name. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your kindness. To the man that prepared the food everyone should be treated the same when dining. He wasnt friendly at all. It was only 8:00am. I asked him will he be putting out anymore blueberry muffins, there were none when I went to get one. His words were "what you see out there is it!" He didn't try to accommodate the guest at all. My family and I decided to do brunch at Broken Egg. Overall my stay was very good.

After reading the reviews, I have noted that the hotel attempts to respond to less than appealing reviews with the word “template.” So I will start this review with IHG case number 10573849033. I am a multi-year Platinum Elite member.
I made this reservation for my wife, a cancer patient, who is traveling to see a cancer surgeon in Augusta. She also travels with a certificated service dog. Her name was added to the reservation, by me, with the hotel directly and in accordance with IHG standards. I informed the hotel my wife would be traveling with a service dog and would be able to provide any necessary documentation. I was asked for her to provide an up to date vaccination record upon checking in.
When my wife, a retired attorney, arrived to check in she provided the vaccination record along with the service dog certificate. She was immediately met with rudeness and confrontation that our service dog did not meet a supposed weight restriction for “pets” (50lbs v 35lb). When reminded that service dogs are not “pets” and are exempt from both restrictions and fees, the clerk (Amy?) became belligerent and rude.
My wife was ultimately allowed to check in to her room but the harassment continued. After getting her belongings and the dog’s bed settled into the room, she took the dog out for his own relief walk. Unprovoked, the clerk confronted her again to assert that they could turn people away for things other than animals. My wife refused to engage that comment and reached out to me instead prompting both my case claim with IHG and this review.
This is the first time in 10 years of traveling with a service dog that we have encountered this kind of rude and uneducated behavior with an IHG affiliated hotel. This is also the first time we have encountered a clerk attempt to justify her behavior by stating they are not a corporate IHG location after learning we are filing a case claim with IHG.

Room was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our extended stay. Complimentary breakfast and social hour were great. By far the most noteworthy part of our stay was the staff. They were so kind and personable - they made my day each day we were there. Highly recommend this hotel!
