The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta has become my second home. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and makes every stay feel special. The rooms are gorgeous — spacious, quiet, clean, and beautifully designed. And the amenities are perfection..an incredible spa and a great bar and restaurant. Truly a five-star experience every time.

I visited this location on October 5th and was charged twice for the same transaction. I immediately brought it to their attention and was told one payment didn’t go through but both charges posted successfully to my account. My bank confirmed there are two separate transaction IDs and advised that the business must issue the refund. I’ve followed up multiple times and even provided proof from my bank showing the duplicate charge, yet I’ve still received no refund and no response. It’s unacceptable that I’m being told to dispute the charge when the error clearly occurred on their end. It shouldn’t be the customer’s problem that you “can’t find” the duplicate payment in your system when I’ve already provided confirmation. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing I just want the refund I’m owed. I was given Jessica Solon’s as a point of contact but she has stopped responding to my emails.

The Waldorf Atlanta is a very nice hotel, but it doesn't really wow you. Other upscale urban hotels in the Hilton portfolio that I've stayed at have much more "wow" factor, such as the Waldorf Beverly Hills, Conrad Bangkok, and Crockfords Las Vegas. Overpriced valet parking only, although there is a parking garage across the street that's $25 a day. Check-in with Abdul was great. Very nice guy. He said he upgraded us, and we had a fairly large corner room. The room itself was mostly what was nice, but didn't wow us. No button-operated window-shades or cool, unique amenities like a Theragun or the kind of stuff you'd expect at a Waldorf Astoria, and it was just kind of bare as far as furnishings and decor go. There was a stain on the couch and the sconce above the nightstand was a little crooked. Stuff you'd expect in a normal hotel, but a flagship brand like Waldorf Astoria, you expect a little better. We used our Diamond credit at the bar as we weren't planning to stay for breakfast in the morning. I had a very nice cocktail, and my wife's mocktail definitely had a lot of love put into it. It was smoky and delicious. The pool was VERY cold, and you had to take a long walk through the spa and down an elevator just to get there. Very strange location. We typically stay downtown at the Candler, but had a free night certificate, so we figured we'd switch it up. We will probably opt to continue staying at the Candler in the future. It's nearly as nice, half the cost, and has a lot more character. Also the hallway smelled like weed. Only in Atlanta can you stay at a Waldorf Astoria and still smell weed in the hallway. That's not the hotel's fault, though, I guess.
