Excellent location near downtown attractions and the GWCC. We were warmly greeted by valet upon arrival, who helped with our luggage and parked the vehicle. Check-in was smooth, and the room was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. They offer complimentary daily bottled water and room refresh service, which was a nice touch. The onsite restaurant is convenient for a quick bite or a freshly brewed espresso. We’ll definitely be back! Just note that daily valet parking is required, as there is no self-parking option available

My stay at The Candler Hotel was good overall- nothing spectacular, but not bad either. The room itself was comfortable, especially the bed, and the bathroom was spacious and well laid out, which I appreciated. One downside was how dark the room felt; even with all the lights on, it never really felt bright enough. At check-in, I wasn’t recognized for my Hilton status and had to ask about what amenities were included, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel is located downtown, so there was some noise, though that’s understandable given the location. We had breakfast at By George and used the Diamond credit, which was a nice perk. The food and service there were excellent and definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want to be in the heart of downtown Atlanta, with comfortable accommodations and a strong on-site dining experience.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable, but what truly stood out was the exceptional valet service. Huge shout out to the concierge team: Mr. Jermaine M., Mr. Darboe, Mr. JD, Mr. Kevin C., and Mr. Avery C. From the moment we arrived, the valet team greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. They were prompt, efficient, and handled our vehicle with great care. Every time I needed my car, it was ready quickly—no long waits, no confusion, just seamless service. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest. Inside, the hotel exceeded expectations as well. The rooms were spotless, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The staff throughout the property were courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Another shout out to Mr. James, who took care of us at the downstairs restaurant snd bar each night of our stay. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is handled so smoothly, especially something as important as arrival and departure. The valet team truly elevated the entire experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-tier service.

Words cannot describe how amazing my stay was! Even though it was a quick visit, it was amazing. I have been dying to go to the GA aquarium and Coca-Cola world and the hotel was 7 minutes from both places. They upgraded me to a corner room so I could have a better view. I loved that as soon as you walk in your room the tv says "welcome" and your name and has a cute slideshow. It felt personal. Jermaine (Hope I spelled that right) was a doll. He was chatty and welcoming and immediately helped me with my bags. I ended up eating at the restaurant late, they let me order even though I think they might have been cleaning up the kitchen and the Salmon was great. I can't wait for my next visit with them.

I stayed at The Candler Hotel in January 2026 as a Hilton Honors Diamond member, booking through American Express Hotel Collection. The hotel itself is stunning—the historic restoration is remarkable, the lobby popcorn is a nice touch, and there were several instances of genuinely excellent customer service during my stay. However, I experienced significant issues with benefit communication and management follow-up that required over two weeks to resolve. The Problem: At check-in, I was explicitly told by front desk staff that my $100 Amex Hotel Collection property credit could be used for valet parking and would stack with my Diamond food & beverage benefits. I relied on this information when incurring charges. At checkout, I was informed for the first time of an undisclosed hotel policy requiring the Amex credit to be exhausted before Diamond benefits could apply. Additionally, only one of my two daily Diamond F&B credits was applied to my folio. When I raised these issues and requested correction, the front desk declined to adjust the charges, resulting in an $84 balance that would not have existed had the policies been disclosed upfront. The Bigger Issue: I emailed the Front Office Manager the same day (as instructed by the front desk) to request review. I received no response for 17 days. I escalated to Hilton Guest Assistance twice, each time being promised a response within 48 hours. Neither promise was kept. I contacted American Express Hotel Collection, who called the hotel directly on my behalf. Even they were unable to get the charge reversed. After 17 days, five emails, two phone calls, filing BBB complaints, and initiating a credit card dispute, the General Manager finally responded and resolved the issue within 24 hours—something that should have happened on Day 1. Resolution: To their credit, once senior management became involved, they were apologetic and provided appropriate compensation. The GM personally called to apologize, and Hilton's Executive Office followed up independently. Recommendation: The Candler is a beautiful property with genuine potential, but there are serious training gaps around: Accurate communication of benefit policies at check-in Management responsiveness to guest concerns Empowering front desk staff to correct billing errors Until they fix these training issues, you may wish to avoid the hotel if you are a Diamond member or booking through Amex. I do hope they sort these training issues soon, as the property itself is lovely and, if possible, I would love to make this my main hotel to stay at when I am visiting Atlanta.
