Check in was easy and quick, and that’s about where the praise ends for this stay. The TV in our room didn’t work…because there was no power. I would have been happy to plug the TV in but they crammed the internet modem and other cables behind the mounted TV so there was no room to see behind the TV to fix anything. When we walked into the bathroom, there was a strange bluetooth connection sound but no info on how to connect to anything. The sound chimes on and off every time you flip the light on. Awesome.
To top everything off, we ended up getting home super late and just grabbed some ramen and a mini frozen pizza from downstairs to heat up in the room; however…there are no microwaves in the rooms. No forks or spoons. No plates. No nothing. Front desk had no problem selling us the items with no way to heat them up. Awesome.
Rooms were cheap and now we know why. Won’t ever be staying here again. Look elsewhere and steer clear!!!! Awful experience.

Luxury Pricing- Motel Energy
Staff was friendly- that’s the only thing going for this hotel. Room was dirty when I checked in. I requested housekeeping the 2nd day when I left in the morning, when I returned in the evening and all they did was take out trash.
Restaurant menu online does not match the menu on site. Tried to order 3 different things and they were “out.” Inexperienced kitchen staff. Food quality seems like they are reheating premade, frozen food. Charged $16 for an egg omelette where the menu says cheddar cheese is used, and it was very clear they used Kraft singles processed cheese. Very unappetizing.
All the machines in the gym are broken each day of my stay.
Gift shop items extremely over priced. Grabbed a Coke Zero and asked to put it on my folio, and on checkout noticed it was $5.25 plus tax. For one drink!
This hotel wants to be chic and pretentious but very poorly run, dirty, and doesn’t live up to the way it’s presented online. Extremely disappointing stay. Friendly staff was the only thing good about this place. Keep an eye out for the scripted “we take this very seriously and appreciate your feedback” reply from management.

The people are a reason to stay here! Everyone is so friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need. Amazing service!!
The hotel restaurant and bar is excellent, great food. Only reason for 4 stars is there weren’t closets or dressers and we like to “unpack” but if you don’t mind living out of your suitcase, you won’t mind! Walkable to Congress conference center which is why we were in town.
Currently writing this from my room and I'm definitely not enjoying my stay firstly I arrived a bit early as my check in time was scheduled for 4pm I arrived around 12pm too see if they could accommodate my stay and let me in early the guy at the front desk told me he'd have to charge me a early check in fee on top of the incentive which is already $80 but he Informed me he could combine the prices together which didn't make sense to me or I could come back at 2pm so I arrived once more after walking around to spare time around 1 pm.. close to 2pm the lady Dana was really kind and worked with me and comped the early check in fee and let me go to my room a bit earlier than 2/4pm so I get into my room and after a long travel I wanted to shower the shower was hot for a split second then immediately turned cold I had to take a cold shower on top of the heater in the room not working so the lady at the front desk advised me she'd have to change my room due to the hot water not working so she changes my room and the heater still wasn't working in the new room nor was the hot water in the shower working, the rooms are nice inside but if you're going to be freezing cold and can't take a hot shower I wouldn't recommend also having nosy front desk workers in your business I'm disappointed with my stay and won't be returning after today.
We chose the ORIGIN Atlanta, Wyndham Hotel as a last-minute option when we unexpectedly had to stay overnight in Atlanta, not knowing Atlanta or the surrounding areas we chose downtown as our hotel near the courthouse. The check-in @ the desk had no issues & the staff was extremely nice.
However, this is where things started to go a little downhill. The first room we checked into had NO windows whatsoever looking out. The room felt like a walk-in closet so due to claustrophobia we had to be moved to a room with windows. That was weird. Especially when the rooms do not even have closets I guess bc the room itself is just one big closet (some with no windows).
The rooms itself are very minimalistic and very simple, aesthetically pleasing but the big issue was there was NO MICROWAVE. I was told by staff that this is the direction that they’re moving in with no microwaves in the rooms, speaking from experience that’s going to be an issue with guests staying bc people enjoy having a microwave in the room and having to go downstairs to use the one microwave in the lobby is not very accommodating at all.
In addition, I found out there is no complementary breakfast in the morning. As a lover of hotel breakfasts, I was very disappointed & should’ve checked that before I booked the reservation however, I just assumed they had a breakfast bc every hotel has a nice breakfast for their guests in the morning.
I was also told that this is a fairly new hotel that just opened up last year & that this is supposed to be a “luxury hotel”. I’m not sure where the ‘luxury’ comes in when there’s no complementary breakfast, no microwaves in the room, no room service or special amenities. The rooms also do not have spare covers or pillows & they definitely need to re-caulk the bathroom showers (6th floor).
I also forgot to mention the dumb waiter that you have to use to carry your luggage up bc I don’t think they thought ahead of how inconvenient that will be if that hotel were to ever be busy you’ll have to go up and down a small dumb waiter with your luggage & the valet service for a night of $55 is ridiculous (bc they have no free parking & no parking garage). This is not luxury. This is a rip off, safe to say we will not be returning & with other options in the surrounding areas, I would look there before you book this hotel.
