DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is scamming customers with $500 smoking/vaping charges. Myself and a co-worker were both charged $500 even though we do not smoke or vape, and did not have any visitors to our rooms that would have smoked or vaped. The Rest Sensor brand this hotel uses is not accurate — mine was triggered at 7:06am when I was styling my hair. The hotel will NOT refund these fees, so save yourself $500 and a lot of hassle by staying anywhere else!

Exceptional Boutique Experience in the Heart of Atlanta My wife and I just completed a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo in downtown Atlanta, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel's boutique charm and sophisticated style. Our room was beautifully designed with modern touches that somehow managed to be both incredibly stylish and genuinely comfortable – not always an easy balance to strike. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated, making our room a true retreat after busy days exploring the city. The location simply cannot be beat. Situated directly across from the historic Fox Theater, we were in the beating heart of downtown Atlanta with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. The convenience factor alone makes this hotel worth considering. A special shoutout goes to Don, who provided outstanding customer service throughout our entire stay. His attentiveness and genuine hospitality elevated our experience and made us feel truly welcomed. While the hotel does have an on-site restaurant that we didn't have the chance to try, knowing it's there adds great value for future visits. If you're looking for a stylish, comfortable, and perfectly located boutique hotel in Atlanta, Hotel Indigo is an absolute winner. We'll definitely be back!

I hate leaving 1-star reviews, but this one is totally justified. Sadly it does not relate to the stay, but the post stay experience. I had redeemed a free night stay with my IHG card. As a Diamond member, they upgraded us and gave us free breakfast. I checked out as usual, thanking Michael at the front desk. So I was confused when I received a portfolio for $70 via email and a change on my credit card. No biggie, mistakes happen, so I called them and this is where the frustration began. You call the main number, hit the number for "guest billing inquiries" and the phone is diverted to Accounts. However, they don't answer and their voice mail is full. I figured it was a one off, so I tried the next day. Same experience. At which point I call back and am out through to Michael at front desk. I tell him my situation and he says someone will call me. Surprise, they didn't. SoI wait a week and I call again, same loop with the full mailbox. Call front desk, Michael again, and vent my frustration. He promises to get someone to call me. Surprise, nothing again. I then find the general manager's email address in the email with the portfolio attached. "Let me know if you need anything". So I replied and explained. Guess what, nothing. So I emailed twice more. 3 weeks, no reply. In my latest attempt, I called the hotel and asked for her by name. This seemed to throw the front desk, (not Michael this time) who became curt and short with me. All I did was ask for her by name, I didn't give any explanation, so I can't have got him offside? Anyway, he just put me on hold and never came back. So, 6 weeks into this, at least 8 calls and 3 emails. Plus the odd attempt to connect on LinkedIn! Simply shocking customer service, that a guesy has to put so much effort into getting their money back! Oh, and the accounts mailbox is still full.

I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but this one is absolutely justified, and it has nothing to do with the stay itself, which was actually pleasant. The problem began after checkout. I redeemed a free-night reward through my IHG card, and due to my Diamond status the hotel kindly upgraded our room and included breakfast, a guaranteed perk for loyalty. Everything seemed fine until I received a $70 charge on my credit card the next day. Mistakes happen, so I called the hotel expecting a quick fix. Unfortunately, that is where the frustration started. The “guest billing” option routes you to Accounts, where the voicemail is full. You cannot leave a message, and pressing zero loops you back to the operator. I tried multiple times over several days, with the same result. I eventually reached Michael at the front desk, who said someone would call me. No one did. I called again the next week, same loop, same promise, no follow-up. Eventually, I found the General Manager’s email in the billing email and reached out directly. No reply. I sent two more polite follow-ups over three weeks. Still nothing. Six weeks, nine calls, and four emails later, I called again and asked for the manager by name. The front desk agent, not Michael this time, was curt and put me on hold, then never came back. At this point, it is not even about the $70. It is about the principle and the complete lack of accountability. Every guest, regardless of status, deserves basic customer service, communication, and respect for their time. The hours I have spent chasing this refund have already far exceeded the value of the charge itself. A shame, because the stay was perfectly good, but the post-stay experience has been the worst I have had with any hotel, ever.

Warning to anyone thinking about staying here - Stay literally ANYWHERE else. Myself, my coworker, and countless others in the reviews were charged a fraudulent $500 smoking fee despite no smoking or vaping occurring in the room. Hotel staff was not only rude but completely disrespectful and condescending throughout the entire process of trying to get this mistake fixed. They claim to use "REST" sensors in the room to detect smoking/vaping. These sensors supposedly are only triggered by combusted nicotine, tobacco, or marijuana, however, this technology is VERY new and obviously has bugs that need to be worked out as so many people are receiving false positive alerts in their room. Don't just take it from me, a simple google search pulls up several articles regarding the unreliability of these sensors and the issues they are causing in hotels across the country. Hotel staff is refusing to acknowledge that these sensors are unreliable and obviously faulty and will call you a liar if you try to dispute the charge. It's literally impossible to prove you *didn't* do something, and they are taking advantage of that to the extreme by accusing you of smoking, charging your card without telling you, and then refusing to correct the mistake. Never staying with these criminals or any IHG hotel again. This whole brand is so slimy if they think they can get away with fraud like this and still have any customers in the next couple years.
