Unfortunately, from a guest’s perspective, it appears that this hotel places greater emphasis on minimizing operational costs rather than enhancing the overall guest experience. Nevertheless, the room rates are not particularly reasonable given the level of service and comfort provided.
While I do not have any major complaints, if I were asked whether I would choose to stay here again, I would likely respond, “At this price, is it truly worth returning?”
I regret that I am unable to offer more positive feedback, but I hope my comments will be taken constructively for future improvement.
We checked in around 5, went to get dinner and came back around 9:30. Didn't really look at the room the first time. Just sent message through Hilton app asking for new soap as ours was used and a pack n play or crib as we had requested one on our reservation. Neither had been brought to the room upon our return. And then as we started to get ready for bed we realized the room hadn't been cleaned. Crumbs and trash on floor, red hairs on sheets, crumbs literally in the middle of the bed under covers and around pillows, the king sheets didn't appear to have been changed either and the duvet cover had a stain on it that was maybe nickel sized and yellow toward head of bed. Also stains on carpet, but, it is a pet friendly hotel.
We called down to front desk. The lady said we could pick up new sheets, but not only would they not bring them to us, we were expected to change them ourselves.
Also, the pack and plays were locked up by housekeeping (which the front desk either didn't have a key to, or didn't want to deliver) and we couldn't have one. Meaning even though it had been requested far in advance I had an unsafe sleeping situation for my baby.
We asked if we could get a refund if we just left, we were told it couldn't be guaranteed.
We even called HHonors, who said we couldn't do anything since we had already checked in. As if we knew we were checking into a dirty room.
While we were preparing to leave and chance finding another room big enough for our family of 6, they (Antoine) called and had *found* a room for us. He personally delivered our new keys to our old room.
The new sheets appeared to be clean, the blanket insert between duvet and top sheet however had what looked like blood on it (and no, I wasn't looking for it, they didn't utilize the pocket when making bed so it all falls apart when you flip the sheets down to lay down. So I threw that on the desk and used the fold out couch linens. There was also an off putting stain on my sons duvet cover, but at least it was just the cover. The shower faucet had a rust stain coming from it and the drain stop was just, gone. The fridge opened toward the wall in a very narrow kitchen, hilarious, unless you wanted to use it. And again, used dish soap from previous tenant.
The manager spoke with us in the morning, and since I pre paid for the trip (through Hilton, not a 3rd party) she wasn't able to refund it supposedly. And supposedly she's crediting us rewards points that might cover half the price of a regular room when we booked a 2 bedroom suite, but of course that can't happen yet because her manager is on vacation for a week or 2, will update if it happens.
Robin, she's an angel. She was working in the breakfast area. She helped my children get their breakfast when she saw I had my hands full with a baby. She made them hot chocolate and added creamer and whipped cream. A genuinely sweet lady who has a passion for what she does. Their breakfast was great, too.
So, if you want to try out your debate skills with hotel staff, an unsafe environment for your baby to sleep in, and to try your hand at cleaning the hotel room you paid 300/night for, THIS is the place for you!
