We had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta! We were in town celebrating a 7th birthday at the Aquarium, and this hotel was perfect! It’s literally right next to the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Park, and we were able to easily walk to the World of Coke and the SkyView Ferris Wheel. Everything felt super walkable and safe, even at night with young kids.
The hotel itself was a great value. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, and a solid breakfast. The indoor pool was a big hit, and the rooftop pool area was super cool with great views (even though it was a bit too cold to swim outside). Overall, an awesome stay and we’d definitely come back next time we visit Atlanta!

This hotel checked all of our boxes and staff was super great and attentive! They brought us things like towels and blankets and toilet paper in the middle of the night several times with no delay. We also were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor facilities still completely available despite it being November (until 11pm!). It was great to walk around at the aquarium all day and then soak in the hot tub. There were 4 of us in the double queen room and it was comfortable. The only thing I would say about the room is there is no fan in the bathroom, so it would get humid in the room after 4 people showering.
Location was amazing. They helped us with a late checkout and held our bags for several hours until it was time to go to the airport. The view of the park and aquarium was also really nice, at some points we were able to see a seal through one of the windows in the roof.
This is a more of a general Atlanta problem- but the tap water, even when filtered, tastes like straight up dirt water in the fall and the water bottles to buy at the shop downstairs were pretty expensive.
Overall, it was clean, convenient and comfortable. Friends were surprised it was only a 3 star hotel!
This was my first time choosing to stay here rather than at the Omni or signia. The pros: it’s an absolute fantastic location. It’s at the corner of centennial park and is a quick walk to State Farm arena, the aquarium, Georgia world congress center and the stadium. There’s also plenty of restaurants around and it’s near the green belt for running and walking. The front desk staff was also really nice and welcoming. The fact that there’s a microwave and fridge in the room was also great! Were were able to eat hot leftovers. We also loved that there was an iron and ironing board. The cable package is also pretty good. Although our cable was disconnected when we first arrived, maintenance came quickly to fix the issue. The cons: the room was fairly clean although there were a few random hairs in the bathroom and shower, which is one of my pet peeves. We also were only given 2 half rolls of toilet paper even though housekeeping only comes every other day. The biggest disappointment and disgusting point was that our comforter had fresh food stains that hadn’t been washed, meaning the comforters are recycled. It’s disgusting as you hear that the comforters aren’t cleaned but when a stained comforter is reused, it’s unsettling. We eventually got a new comforter, but a couple nights we just had to sleep with sheets until we got the clean comforter. Overall, not sure if I would come back due to cleanliness, but if I do come back, it’ll be because of the location and staff.

Truly had the worst service I’ve ever encountered on a trip and it nearly ruined our vacation. The morning we were gathering our things to head to a full day of the aquarium and sightseeing, I accidentally left our breakfast tickets in our key booklet and turned it into the front desk. I immediately realized what I did and walked back up to the same woman I had just spoken to, and she refused to give the breakfast tickets back and instead demanded I pay $26 each for my mother and sister to eat. I had 3 tickets that I just accidentally gave her, that were on the other side of the desk and I could see them in my booklet, why couldn’t I just have them back? We didn’t want to take our luggage to breakfast and wanted to take it to the car before walking to the aquarium! I understand that I made a mistake but her wanting to charge me an abhorrent amount for a breakfast that I already earned in Hilton Honors points a refusing to give me the tickets back? She was incredibly rude and hostile, I ended up asking to speak to another guest clerk who apologized and gave me the tickets right back, but having such horrible service after having the worst meal of my life at the hotel Tex-Mex restaurant was just toooo much. I’ll be sure to tell friends planning their trip to steer clear

⚠️ AVOID this hotel at all costs! STAY ELSEWHERE!
👉 Try Omni, Embassy Suites, or any reputable hotel that actually respects its guests.
My experience was extremely disappointing due to serious problems in service, honesty, and professionalism.
1. The hotel canceled my reservation after my flight was delayed overnight — without notifying me and without any refund. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and any reasonable one would first call or email the guest before canceling. That’s called "customer service", not making casual jokes at the front desk, making others wait.
2. When I asked to speak with a manager, the staff refused to escalate my request.
3. At checkout, I requested a receipt of all transactions, but the front desk kept saying they “didn’t know how” or that “the system didn’t have my information.” Later, it turned out they actually had all the records. I had to wait over 10 minutes until another employee finally helped.
4. The hotel’s information about me was incorrect — they entered a random address and phone number on my receipt, even though I gave them the correct details during check-in.
5. I left some personal items in my room's closet and called immediately, but all items disappeared. It’s natural to conclude that my belongings were lost (or stolen) by someone there.
I'd experience around 100 hotels in US, but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever had. They are so unprofessional, dishonest, and irresponsible from start to finish.
💥 I’ve stayed at around 100 hotels in the U.S., but this was by far the WORST experience ever.
❌ Unprofessional, dishonest, and completely irresponsible from start to finish.
