This hotel is a disgrace to Hilton and the Hampton Inn brand. I stay 50+ nights a year in similar hotels and this is on par with a low end motel 6. The owner clearly puts zero $ to upkeep. Mold in showers, peeling wallpaper in the entire hotel, water damage everywhere, shower was broken, bath mat wet at check in, workout room was filthy (empty sanitizing wipes, broken AC, empty water machine). The exterior looks like a haunted mansion. Only thing going for it is it’s an okay location to the mall. Please don’t stay here.
We were at this hotel last weekend for a volleyball tournament. Such a horrible experience our final night there. Power went out in the middle of the night and never came back on. The room was absolutely freezing with the single degree wind chills outside. Had to get all of our luggage packed that morning with the light on a cell phone, no hot water, so no showers, no hair dryers, no tv, no breakfast, half of the emergency lights were out in the halls and stairwells, had to make multiple trips down multiple flights of stairs with the luggage and no light. The front doors wouldn’t work, so we had to exit a side door being propped open with a rock, and no official checkout or paperwork was ever sent. Despite still being charged full price, no one from management has returned multiple phone calls or online messages about the stay! Customer service at its worst!!
Where to start.
First, this hotel is actually in a decent area in Atlanta, but the building itself inside is very ran down. Issued with power outlets and bedside lamps that would not work as well as a bed that was practically dry-rotting and broke. In addition the elevator is about on its last leg and smells of burning electricity. During our stay the first night, we had to be moved rooms as the bed broke while laying down to go to sleep. The second night, the power goes out and remains out all the way through check out time. Mind you, temperatures were freezing and the room was very cold and we were unable to rest all night. When departing the next morning, we had to use the flashlights on our phones to try to pack our things and get ready as our daughter was competing in a large volleyball tournament that morning. When we left it was still dark, so the hallways were completely black and we had to obviously utilize the stairs to load up our things given no power means no elevator. That evening once power was restored, we reached out to the hotel regarding our stay and we were informed it was a power outage with the electric company and the regional manager was working on discounting stays and to expect an updated receipt via email by the next day reflecting the discounted rate. The next day after never receiving an updated receipt, I reached out and was informed by a representative that the manager was not offering any discount for the stays as it was not their fault they lost power but it was the electric company's fault. I then asked to speak to the manager and was advised James was out to lunch. I left my name and number and got no call back. I attempted to call again that evening and no one even bothered to answer the hotel phone. I then reached out to Hilton and was advised a manager would reach out within 3 days. 3 Days have passed and no contact from anyone regarding our stay only an email stating I can expect Hilton points added to my account, but no mention or follow up on the stay what so ever. I am disappointed to say the least as I am a frequent Hilton traveler and rewards member and expected more from this well known brand. Last I checked I did not rent and issue payment to the electric company in expectation of a service that the Hampton Inn did not provide. I will make sure to utilize Marriott going forward. They would hold their managers to a higher standard and have a much cleaner place to stay at that
The hotel is run down. Mold. Ladybugs. Peeling trim. Water damage.A significant portion of staff does not care. Emergency situation and their were zero protocols.
This chain used to walk premises and invoice guests every day. No note about power outage. No assistance with rebooking. Lost thousands of points on a forced trip to Atlanta. Avoid like the plague.

My husband checked in for a one-night stay, and not long after arrival, the power went out. There was an active winter storm warning, and temperatures were at or below freezing, making the situation especially uncomfortable. With no power, there was no heat during extremely cold conditions.
When I asked the front desk about a refund, I was told, “Oh, there won’t be any refunds.” While power outages can happen, the lack of concern or effort to accommodate guests during freezing temperatures was disappointing. Given the circumstances and the response, I would not stay here again.
