Shout out to Valet and Bellhop services especially Amadae and Joao who were very helpful to a pedestrian who fell across the street. Not part of their job description but showed care and concern above and beyond, so I am sure they provide excellent services to their patrons.

I had a couple unexpected and frustrating things happen during the entire end to end experience of booking, staying, and checking out at the hotel. The conclusion I have come to as a result of these is that Four Seasons does not value the customer experience in regards to anything that costs money. The booking I made almost three to four weeks in advance. A week out from my reservation, my plans unexpectedly changed due to my wife’s father being in the hospital. I contacted them to cancel the reservation and found out it is not able to be cancelled because I was given a special rate. I simply booked on the website and wasn’t aware of anything around this not being cancel-able, so I asked for the reservation manager to contact me. They never bothered to contact me. So we figured out how to make it work because the last thing I was going to do was lose $1100 due to this. Ok, fine. We check in and find out that valet is $60 for guests which is complete highway robbery, let’s not kid ourselves. If I was parking to use the restaurant or spa alone, I can see $60 making some slight sense, but for guests who paid over $1000 for a single night, it’s just a big slap in the face. I happily gave the parking deck next door my business even though it was $40 for one night. The room was nice but in no way was it worth the cost we paid for a single night. There was this excruciating loud siren sound that would happen when each of our neighbors used their water and woke us up multiple times throughout the night. Worst sleep experience of my life at a hotel. I’ve slept better at a Motel 6. After checking out, I found they charged me $60 for valet even though I didn’t use it. I had to call and get it removed. This was extremely insulting. I asked why was this applied to my room when I didn’t use valet and I was told that there must have been a room mix up with another guest. This is unacceptable and should never happen, the hotel clearly has gaps in their process and ultimately it leaves guests like myself feeling like you are trying to take advantage of them. I still feel this way. I added on a service of a charcuterie board and prosecco for my wife since this was her bday, I did this at the time of booking before checkout. The charge appears on the room bill as “In room dining dinner” because apparently they can’t be bothered to actually provide accurate descriptions. This requires me to take time out of my day and call to clarify to make sure nothing else is done incorrectly. I found out that this was the charcuterie board and prosecco — fine because we wanted them, but the inconvenience of having to take time to figure this out is something you should not put on your guests and can be resolved by doing a better job on the itemization of the bill. The entire set of details I listed here tells me there is a major lack of professionalism and they are content with confusing the clients, overcharging them (until they notice), and they don’t care about the details of the room enough to provide a truly relaxing experience. We will not be returning and will be sharing our experience with all our local friends and family. This is completely unacceptable and if you are looking for a top tier hotel in Atlanta, this is NOT it.

Always great accommodations, food, and relaxing spa, but avoid the pool, particularly on the weekends! Apparently you can stay at the hotel and invite all of your kid’s friends to join you for a party at the pool. I have seen as many as 12 kids running, screaming and jumping in the hot tub, even while spa clients are trying to relax. I’ve been told that this happens regularly and that apparently the pool has become the new destination for children’s parties. The Four Seasons Atlanta is definitely a five star hotel, restaurant and spa and the perfect place to enjoy the best of Atlanta, just not at the pool.

This was my first time staying at a Four Seasons property. As a Marriott loyalty member, I typically stay at Ritz-Carlton hotels, so I had high expectations. Overall, the property and room met those expectations, and the service at the bar was excellent. However, there were two aspects of my stay that were disappointing: 1. In-room dining quality: The food did not meet the standard I would expect from a hotel of this caliber. While the fries were acceptable, the tomato soup tasted like canned tomato paste and lacked depth and flavor. 2. Service follow-through: On one evening, I ordered a meal via Uber Eats that arrived without cutlery. I contacted the hotel through the app to request cutlery and was told it would be sent to my room. After waiting 25 minutes with no delivery, I followed up and was again assured that someone would arrive shortly. An additional 40 minutes passed, and no one ever showed up. For a hotel brand that prides itself on exceptional service, failingi to fulfill such a simple request is unacceptable. While there were positive elements to my stay, these issues detracted from the overall experience
