The resort seems fine from the surface but the rooms lack inspections and have safety issues. We booked 2 nights at Beach Resort for New Year. At midnight (~12:30 am) the night we checked in, the main curtain rod suddenly fell off from the wall onto the floor due to loose screws and damaged drywall, making a loud bang waking up the whole family. What is more dangerous, the rod is heavy and bounced onto the side table and then to the bed; luckily no one on bed was directly hit and injured. We immediately called the front desk and were told it would be fixed the next day, and we even called again the next morning to confirm and were assured that a maintenance order was made for 11:30 am. However, after we came back from the park around 9:30 pm the next evening, we shockingly saw that the curtain, the curtain rod, and the loose screws were still laying on the floor without a fix. After a whole tiring day we had to be moved to another hotel, which is much better maintained with no issues of walls or screws. As of today, 5 days after we checked out, the resort management still could not figure out why this happened and why nobody showed up for the 11:30 am work order to fix the wall and curtain rod. Such safety incident has never happened to us in any other hotels. Such experience suggests that this hotel indeed has serious safety, basic inspection and maintenance issues, which we will definitely avoid in the future.

We rented a room at the Beach retreat 12/26 to the 28th. On the 26th after we checked in and put our stuff into the room we then walked to the diner on property about an hour before closing. We noticed that there was a guy at the outside walk up window trying to get someone's attention at the bar. He was knocking on the window to get someone's attention. It took quite a while for someone to open the window, you would have expected them to be busy inside with that kind of wait. When we walked into the restaurant there was no one at the podium. A man from the bar who was on his phone came to greet us after he noticed we were there waiting for a hostess. He walked over to us and asked if we knew what we wanted. Mind you, this was our first time at the restaurant and had no idea what they offered. We said we did not know and handed us a menu. He did not ask us if we were sitting or if we wanted to order take out and we basically stood there looking at the menu. Once the hostess walked up, he walked away and the hostess asked if we were dining in or taking out. We answered we didn't know what we were allowed to do since we were not asked from they guy who we now know is the manager. We did wind up dining in. There was only three to four tables with families, so needless to say they were NOT busy at all. Our server Jonathan was one of the worst servers I've had in a long time and also very slow. We ordered drinks from the bar and the kids drinks. 10 to 15 minutes go by and still nothing... we see our drinks on the bar as the waiter walked right past it... My wife proceeded to get up and get the drinks herself since the waiter wasn't doing his job. It took another 5 minutes before we finally got our kids drinks. We could tell the other tables were also complaining that they had no drinks and was still waiting. The manager was sitting at the bar the entire time on his phone not paying any attention to his employees or the tables. The guy who was bussing the tables was also very slow at doing his job and kept looking back at me with an attitude. After we got our kids drinks, we asked the waiter to put another order in for our adult drinks since he was slow... which my wife jokingly said to him that he was slow. She was hoping he would get the point. He seemed stoned and laughed and said I will. Another table was visibly upset about their drinks since they still have not received them 20 minutes later. I said pretty loud that the manager needs to get off of his phone and pay attention to his customers who are not getting service from the waiter he then lifted his head up looked around then proceeded to go back to his phone. The table asked the busser about the drinks he then goes to the bar to ask who the waiter is with the manager right next to all four of them (Thomas/bartender, Johnathan/waiter, busser, Eric/manager) the waiter and manager walked towards the drink area I said again pretty loud that I wish a manager would step up his game and watch his employees and not be on the phone. When Thomas (bartender) notices the drink were still there he caught Jonathan's (waiter) attention and told him deliver the drinks before she gets up and gets it themselves again. The food was walked out about the same time we got the second drinks the food was good no complaints there. We came back the next morning for breakfast and had a completely different experience. The hostess Amanda helped us and sat us. Our waitress Yessika (probably spelt wrong) was perfect 10/10! We then told her about our experience the night before and she then had her manager come out which happened to be Amanda we told her about the horrible experience we had last night she told us she will take care of it. On the 27th Trevor the bartender morning was awesome --------------------------------- The property needs maintenance and attention to detail. No mulch, irrigation heads are nasty, leaks at the water heaters outside, missing security camera, lights and walls have webs and dust and pool life jackets that you can tell have not be cleaned in a while.

Horrible experience, nasty food and it was very deceptive because it's supposed to be all you can eat but you don't get to pick your food, you just eat the nasty eggs and cold bacon they bring you. No front desk, you have to text and it can be 90 minutes to get a response. Grass is half dead and there are ant hills everywhere. Everything felt very low end. Just stay at a nasty trailer park and eat at Denny's, it would be a better experience. They wouldn't give us a refund for the prepaid breakfast after we all (16 of us) hated the food on the first day.

We stayed here for my grandson's birthday trip to Legoland and my husband and I were impressed. It's in such a convenient location from the parks with plenty of food options and a grocery store in walking distance. The grounds are super cute and well thought out. The king bed was comfortable and the outside sitting area is so quaint. Each section has It's own playground in the middle. It is perfect for families who stay separate but want to be close. The check in was easy at the gate, the ac was super cold and breakfast was great. We were pleasantly surprised and hope the next grandchild wants to go back!
