all interactions with staff--GREAT, especially the shuttle drivers. Food--good, lobby--good. Rooms leave a lot to be desired--noisy, no way to stream on TV, bathroom is TINY (you have to close the door of the bathroom to use the toilet comfortably), bathroom feels old and dingy but loved the soap/shampoo in the dispensers. Overall very expensive for this type of hotel.

1 Star – Extremely Disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this DoubleTree by Hilton. I stayed for six nights, and during that entire time my room was cleaned only once — despite multiple requests.
From the first night, there were issues. When I checked in, the comforter on my bed had fresh coffee stains on it, I smelled coffee as soon as I got in bed and low and behold housekeeping, simply turned the comforter over and made the bed to hide the stains. I immediately reported it, and room service responded by sending up a thin Dingie blanket. That was unacceptable.
Throughout the stay:
• My shower was not
cleaned until the fourth day, ran out of toilet paper and it wasn’t replaced I had to go buy my own, shower gel and shampoo also ran out and was never replaced.
• Garbage was not emptied. Shower curtain kept falling apart
• Basic housekeeping was neglected and when requested service I was told “your room is not on the list for cleaning!” This was day 4 of no cleaning.
• I had to go to the front desk almost every night to request towels because none were replenished or offered.
• I even had to request garbage bags to empty my own garbage.
Most of The front desk staff were always extremely kind and courteous, and I want to acknowledge that. However, I was told a manager would call me regarding these issues — and I never received that call. It has now been over a week since returning home.
The most frustrating part is that the rooms were nearly $500 per night during my trip, and I also used 111,000 Hilton Honors points for this stay. I have stayed at Hilton properties all over the country, and this experience did not reflect Hilton standards at all. No, I couldn’t check out and go somewhere else because all the hotels were sold out.
Several people at the front desk were lovely but, did nothing about this. I was told a manager would reach out. I’m home for a week. Still never heard from him. On day five I complained and said I wanted compensation for these problems. The front desk girl honey made a face and said “you already received a free breakfast voucher.” the lady working with her was mad at us. My husband explained to honey the voucher was given to us because we had to extend our state and extra day due to bad weather and flights being canceled but the night clerk said we could not extend our stay. We have to wait till the morning, then the morning clerk apologized for the night clerk not extending the stay and gave him a voucher for his troubles. We never asked for that, and it would not have made up for all the issues.
This property is severely lacking in housekeeping management and accountability. Based on this experience, I would not return

This hotel has disappointed from the start! I made reservations for double rooms and the hotel just gave it away. Told me they were oversold and their Hilton Honors members and groups are priority. But my group somehow was not. So even with an email confirmation clearly stating double beds (with a confirmation number)—the room I reserved is gone. Nothing I can do or they can do. Just stuck.
What horrible customer service.

I’ve stayed at dozens of Hampton Inns for work and was excited to find out if Double Tree lived up to its status as a higher tier member of the Hilton family, boy was I wrong. This faculty is not only outdated and in desperate need of renovation, but also more poorly unkept than any Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at. With their older properties it at-least feels like the housekeeping staff is doing their best to keep the rooms clean, but no such effort has been applied here.
Not only was my room filthy, but the AC unit was on its last legs. While running near constantly at the approximate volume of a taxiing 737, it produced some of the driest and unclean air I’ve ever had the displeasure of breathing. It irritated my sinuses enough to disrupt my sleep and deplete the room’s supply of tissues. I’ve legitimately slept better, and with less nasal congestion, in a 120 year old basement.
On top of all this, the toilet in my room had a slow trickling flush and would refill itself loudly once an hour, although the performance of the unit was fortunately unaffected. Also, the alarm clock in my room was 8 minutes slow, which isn’t a big deal but is indicative of how hard the housekeeping staff is trying.
In addition to the poor cleanliness, barely functional AC unit, and inaccurate alarm clock, the hotel is located directly next to the highway. I know they can’t control where they’re located, but they could’ve at-least sprung for thicker walls. The only thing louder than the road noise was the AC unit trying desperately to keep my room at 70 degrees on a 69 degree night.
Outside of the room issues, the rest of the facility is in adequate condition. Everything in the fitness center worked properly and the pool appeared clean. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but my coworker who did claims the burger gave him indigestion, and I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that a continental breakfast isn’t included. In addition to that disappoint the hotel also charges $10 a night for parking, something else you don’t deal with at a Hampton Inn. The only redeeming quality was the friendliness of the front desk staff and quality of the complimentary cookie upon check in. Be warned, it’s all downhill from there.
