I love Disney. We’re Florida residents and Passholders. This was our first time at this resort and we will never be back. Google said they had a playground and arcade— they do not. There was miscommunication with the character dining and apparently it’s only on Saturdays (we had it booked on Sunday) so we missed that as well. Also, the kids meal for eggs wasn’t even a full egg for $10. Ridiculous prices. Food was cafeteria level food. Aside from the pool, nothing for kids to do. It was the most non-kid friendly hotel I’ve ever been to. Felt more like a retirement home.

Excellent location and facilities. The Wind and Waves restaurant had excellent food for breakfast and dinner. Very reasonable prices for any restaurant much less a tourist area. Each evening there is a selection of specials offered. Our favorite was Oscar styled fish offering that included crabmeat. We stayed in one of the corner Deluxe Studios and wasn’t really happy about the odd room layout. It was part of a lock off. Plenty of room to get around in it and had a small sink, small refrigerator, and microwave. They could have put a king bed in it but didn’t. Resort includes a nice Disney gift shop with associated high prices.
Good resort, beach is nice, pool is nice, limited food options, etc. etc.
More importantly, here is a quick inventory of what is in the gym as of April 2026:
1x stationary bike, 1x recumbent bike, 2x ellipticals, 2x treadmills, 2x adjustable bench, smith machine (total available plate weight- ~460lbs), low row machine, dumbell rack with 5s through 50s in 5 pound increments, kettle bells 9lb through 53lb, leg extension machine, chest press machine, pec/reverse fly machine, shoulder press machine, lat machine, 2x cables with misc attachments, 2x pull up bars, a few rollers/belts/bands/general gym detritus, 2x Swiss balls. Pretty good hotel gym, especially the Smith machine.
Our overnight stay at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully themed in that perfect Disney-meets-coastal style.
The attention to detail is what truly sets this place apart. From the charming decor to fun little touches like the “Buoys & Gulls” restrooms (which we loved! 😂), you can feel Disney magic in a more relaxed, beachside way. It’s not the busy park atmosphere, it’s calm, intentional, and so refreshing.
Our room was incredibly spacious, perfect for our family and gave us room to truly unwind after long beach days. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The beach itself was stunning. Watching the waves roll in, seeing the kids enjoy the shoreline, and just taking in the peaceful surroundings made this trip so special.
One of our favorite unexpected moments was seeing Goofy walking around the pool area! It was such a fun surprise for our kids and added that extra Disney magic without feeling overwhelming.
But what stood out the most was the customer service. Every Cast Member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel cared for. That level of hospitality is what keeps us coming back to Disney and this resort truly exceeded expectations.
If you’re looking for a relaxing Disney experience away from the parks, this is it. We will absolutely be back. ❤️
Nice quiet location on the beach. Very easy beach access. Nice pool are but nothing spectacular by Disney standards, single slide and single hot tub, small splash pad and mini golf area. Enough seating. The usual DVC activities. Room was clean but the "ocean view" from the second floor wasn't great.
Very odd room setup with a lot of wasted space. Pretty noisy through the walls and floors. Greeted by a baby roach in the tub but that's life in the South. Kichinette was filled with coffee pods and only a drip machine.
Dinner at the onsite restaurant was great. Other Disney food was comparable to any location. Not a lot to do off site nearby but plenty within 30 minute drive.
