Booked a last min room due to lack of time remaining until midnight. Friend was staying there, I was visiting from over an hour away so I decided to book my own for the night. Went to night window and the guy says he can't rent to me because my identification is digital and not present. I said fine and had my friend to it. It was FREEZING that night and I didn't come prepared to stay so to warm up I got on the shower. After 30 mins the water NEVER got warm. Decided to turn the heat to full blast. Heat didn't work. Had friend go say something, she came back with new room key. The new room was DISGUSTING!!! I think it was a room they use when there's nothing else. Funny thing is the room 2 doors down from her was open but conveniently not available. I ended up staying in the original room and froze my butt off. Went and chilled in my car intermittently until day break and I could get the heck out of there.

Called At 11:07am. Simple question?! Could certainly use some phone etiquette training, and some kindness to people with dumb questions I guess.
Not sure if I wish to entertain that kind of mentally on our visit at the end of January.
Was wowed by their lack of professionalism!!!!!

3 night stay. Room is dated, but very clean. Walls are very thin. 1st night was peaceful. 2nd night, guest next door had tv playing loudly until after 2am. 3rd night, a guest checked in directly above us about 2am. A child running and yelling, furniture was dragged around, luggage rack and other items were being dropped for over an hour and a half. At 4am I asked the staff to intervene. They did, noise stopped. At checkout, I asked why there was no linen service or even making the bed, for 3 days. Staff informed me that service is only provided when requested, otherwise you just get fresh towels each day. I informed staff member that a plastic placard in the room states that linen service is provided every day unless requested otherwise. She was unaware of the plastic placard in the rooms. I’ll attach a photo of the plastic placard in the room referring to linen service.

1st I want to say what I paid was to high for the time I stayed there. But you get what you pay for. I was told this was the closest hotel near my destination so with a 3.6 review I said let's do it. 2nd I want to say the front desk personnel did the best they could do in these situations. They was polite and courteous. They assisted whenever they could and tried to go far and beyond. For me if I could just rate them I would give a 3 stars but for everything else I would rate 0 stars. So I rated overall 1 star. First went into front desk area it had a smell of mold or the ac air filter hasn't been clean in years. 2nd room smelled worse than check in area. So I put AC unit to cool lower to try to get rid of smelly. That didn't work. Then my companion couldn't stop sneezing and blowing their nose since we got into the room. The dust on the cracks in the headboard had dust that was so visible and could have been cleaned at least.3rd Went to lay on the bed less than 10 minutes and I start itching all over. Mind you I am fully dressed. I stood up for a bit to look for mosquitoes or if it was detergent used on the sheets. I laid down on the other bed and I wasn't itching. I remembered the hotel allows dogs in the rooms. I requested a non smoking room and no pet room. Had to call front desk because it was unbearable. She was able to move our room to another room in the last rows of rooms at the hotel. But when we gathered our things and stepped out the door. 4th issue I was shocked a man in a chair with just his underwears on was sitting between the two doors smoking ( connecting rooms I realized after). The front desk was moving us a few doors down. Got into the car. And in the back of the hotel in the parking area a lady sitting in a chair with a shopping cart and her dog sleeping in middle of the road. We had to go around her to get to the front desk. Then further down 1 person sitting on a car smoking while another is looking inside the car that seemed to be locked. Then go a little further and a car parked with lights on and a man outside the car with no shirt making a purchase. The last row of rooms in the back they need to add more lights and maybe have a security guard to patrol the parking lot instead of just having one person at the front desk in the night. I had to tell her that the room she was changing me to in the last row of the hotel I wouldn't take. I needed something closer to the front. I informed her of all the activities going on in the back. She said she would call manager to see what to do. She could only move us on the opposite side of the back rooms. 5th In front of the room door next to upstairs steps piles of boxes and printer and other items are just thrown on the floor next to a garbage can. 6th Went to the room had to try a few times to get in the door. Get in door and it's not locking completely. I was informed earlier this was the only other room available that was not in the last row. Had to use deadbolt. Not only the door but the outlets are not working. Tried to search for another hotel near by because of the time was late there was none available. Couldn't sleep all night due to issues. 7th Get up early to take a shower and the shower didn't work. Called about this she tells me to pull with grit. Smh I pulled very hard to get a few drizzle of water to come out. She offered a third room to take a shower. 8th Breakfast was included tried to just get a drink and something simple to eat. Cooked food wasn't edible. This was my 1st experience with best Western hotels and it will be my last time using their hotel. I know it's a franchise but this was ridiculous. There was to many issues outside of the people on the premises with the rooms it's not suitable for a one night stay. If you do bring your own sheets pillowcase a power charger to be able to charge your phone just in case, mask and Lysol. Also have a car alarm and get a room close to front desk because that was the only real area that was quiet and a little safer. Pool was closed for pump issue.
