I booked a river view room. I could barely see the river. There was a garage right under neath my balcony and a roof right across blocking the actual view of the river. I paid extra to see an inch of water maybe if that. There is a cuckoo clock which they had no control over but it was annoying. There were teenagers EVERYWHERE there was some kind of conference that weekend which again the hotel had no control over. I just wish I would’ve known that I would be in a hotel full of teens. Now the important part is they charge almost $50 a night for valet. There is no where nearby to park for free. The room was almost $300 a night which would’ve been fine if I actually had a river view. It was SO OUTDATED, dingy, and in desperate need for renovations. The lights inside the room were very yellow. The carpet has seen better days. There were cracks in every inch of the room. On the legs of the couch, the office chair, the headboard, walls , bathroom etc. literally anywhere you can think of had cracks in it. The bathroom light had a 10 second delay to actually turn on. The water in the tub was not draining when I showered. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied to say the least. I think I paid about $650-$700 to stay for the weekend and it was not worth it at all. The only good parts of the room was the $25 amenity fee you get to use daily on the grounds and the service was amazing.

Disappointed with hotel in general . I understand that it's been purchased by Hilton and that it'll go through refurbishment this year. Great location and that is the only positive thing I can say. Very outdated. Breakfast was horrible. Eggs tasted like cardboard, bacon overdone and crumbled when chewed on. Sausages were dry. Coffee was horrible. Dinner was ok. Bathroom was ok. Shower curtains dirty. Air conditioning unit could not keep up with demand and was noisy. Had to keep it on low fan speed. On a positive note, the staff contacted me to check how things were going. So they have good comms. I reported issues and hotel gave me some financial break . Once it's gone thru Hilton update should be better. One last thing, room was close to pool and they had music blasting for two days from 1 to 5 pm. Would of been ok if it wasn't for the extremely high base where the whole floor vibrated! Why does the whole area have to be subjected to that just for a group of kids at the pool. I look forward to hotel feedback on this if required.

A 4 star hotel? More like 2-3 star but I know most 3 star hotels that knows how to treat customers better. The check in desk were terrible always talking to each other and not being attentive to you as you are walking up or literally in front of them. Room was outdated, doors do NOT have a soft close so the floors above me you can hear a LOUD BOOM/SLAM while sleeping. Not worth what you pay for, this place is only great for location. On top of that, the check in is at 4pm??? With that check in time at 4pm at least have the check out time later like 12pm. I also got charged for an early check in fee when I didn't get to check in early. I asked for it around 9AM, they took my number thinking it may be available around 12PM. Came back at 12PM and it still wasn't available. So we left to enjoy our day, got a call at 2PM that the room was ready, but we had already left and didn't come back till 8PM to check in. And after all of that, they still charge me for the early check in, looking at the folio, the times printed on it was incorrect cause they checked me in at 2PM. UPDATE: Called the property multiple times and the manager does not pick up, left a voicemail and no return calls after a week and a half

We stayed at the Hotel Riverwalk Tampa from 2/5-2/7 and the visit was very distressing and disappointing. We moved rooms three times. Our first room was extremely old, dated, dirty, dusty, with paint peeling and a horrible smell throughout. We contacted the front desk to say the room was not acceptable. Then we were moved to another room, which was similar (old, dirty, dusty) but did not smell, so we planned to stay there although not thrilled at all. When we went to open the sofa bed at 9pm to go to sleep, the mattress was absolutely disgusting with stains which appeared to be mold or deep set in dirt...we had no sheets, pillows, etc. provided so all we saw was this mattress. I am attaching pictures of the mattress. I contacted the front desk immediately. They were apologetic and responsive, but here it was 930pm and we were packing up and moving to yet another room. We just needed to get to sleep. The sofa bed mattress was fine, we made the bed ourselves, and we went to sleep. (They then had the nerve to increase our rate because we were moved to a larger room.) Showering in the morning was another issue. There was warm water for 2 minutes and then cold water only. We reported this issue and was told there were no issues with the hot water. All in all, the visit was a huge disappointment. We will never stay here again. They are in desperate need of a massive renovation. I do want to mention that the staff were very kind and professional. The valet staff was also wonderful.

This property has a fantastic location and a lot of potential. Right now, not much else. We’re Hilton Honors members and stay exclusively at Hiltons around the world. This was unfortunately our worst experience. The pool and bar are right on the Riverwalk, with beautiful views of the river and UT. But it’s open to the public and not appropriately staffed for that level of business. The bartender was nice but overwhelmed. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, I can’t imagine why they would have just one person on bar. There had to have been 60 people at the pool and wait times were long. She had no support, and several liquor bottles were empty. There were also no pool towels available, and when I went in to ask the front desk for one, I was told they were washing some, but I never saw them come out. We ended up leaving without getting in the pool, which is a bummer considering that was a main point in booking this hotel. Unfortunately though, the worst part was our room. There was a terrible rattle coming from the air vent. We called down to ask about moving to another room, but were informed they were fully booked and would send someone from maintenance to fix it. We left for dinner, so I don’t know if they sent anyone or not, but it certainly wasn’t fixed. It continued to rattle all night long. I took a video of it a 4:37am because it was so obnoxious that we didn’t sleep well at all. I understand the hotel is new to Hilton and is apparently going to be refurbished, but we won’t be back to find out. There are plenty of better options in the area that we will gladly visit instead.
