We had a really bad experience with the front desk person named Jess at 7:30pm on 11/22/25. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Told us to wait while she texted and used her personal phone, for the better part of 5 mins straight. She seemed to be nice and laugh to whomever she was texting on her phone but when it came to helping me and my family check in she was unhelpful. At one point I asked “I’m sorry did I do anything to offend you, if so it wasn’t intentional.” Her response was a flat affect with a “I’m just trying to get through this interaction.” I asked if there was someone else who could help and she said she was the manager on staff. She was as disrespectful as I’ve been treated since I was a 25 year old kid. For work and for vacation I stay in hotels 2-3 times a month. Never had a negative experience like that before.

I travel 3 to 4 times a week and stay at a minimum of four star hotels, I recently was at a friend‘s wedding and I have never experienced service like was provided ever before from the lack of staff to cold food to zero water pressure, Parking is horrendous, Management doesn’t care about any complaints, The hotel smelled like mold, And when asked for ice, each floor doesn’t have ice machines at 12 o’clock at night had to get dressed and go to the front desk for ice, this hotel is grossly mismanagement with the lack of training for its help, I would rate this hotel at a one star, also, the elevators wait time takes a minimum of 10 minutes, They have a total of six luggage carts for the entire hotel when I brought up that question they said that the owners would only provide them with six, The wedding consisted of 175 people There was not one of them that did not complain about multiple issues with management and the hotel. Also stolen sneakers we’re never returned or did the hotel try and make good on them,

I have to shout out to the entire shuttle team! Especially *Shantel*, she took a very bad starting day and turned it around! She was very caring and went out of her way to be available to help in any way! Thanks to all of you!

Very cool, historic hotel with amazing 1920s architecture! Only a few blocks from the River Walk and plenty of restaurants, super great central location! They even have a free shuttle service, but I didn’t use it. The rooms are huge and everything was very clean! The onsite bar and restaurant is AMAZING, the breakfast lunch and dinner are all sooo yummy and the cocktails are on POINT! Every staff member I interacted with, in the coffee shop, at the bar, in the restaurant, at the front desk - were all so kind and helpful, they treated both my grandmother (she was in a separate room) and myself and family very well for our entire stay. We loved that the rooms were also pet friendly, our dogs liked it too! The only downsides were the required valet and things that come with historic buildings like low water pressure, but worth it for the location and staying in such a unique part of Tampa history!

If you’re considering getting married here, please look elsewhere. I’ve attended two weddings at this hotel and both have been absolutely terrible. Both experiences I’ve had here, there isn’t any functioning AC in both the lobby and ballroom so it’s flustering hot. The food is subpar (rock-hard stale bread, small main courses they label “petite”, mediocre drinks, etc). They even got my table’s meals wrong as they brought out chicken when we had all ordered beef. The service here is nonexistent as we had to argue to get our dishes corrected. To add on to this, the first couple whose wedding I attended here toured the hotel while it was under construction. They were promised that the construction would finish before their wedding. That did not happen and their night was severely impacted as a result and were partially refunded for their poor experience. Please do not get married here!
