Shoutout to Michael for ruining my experience at the Home2 Channel District. I am a Hilton team member so I know how a hotel room should look like, this room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, stains on the sheets, knife, cups, bed, and plates, after I noticed this I decided to go swimming and there I noticed various foreign objects in the pool that looked the poop, I notified the front desk and told them that I no longer felt comfortable staying in this hotel, the front desk agent was nice and told me I would receive a FULL refund, she was waiting on Michael, the AGM to process the refund. Michael comes in guns blazing basically telling me that since I get a discounted rate due to me working at a Hilton that I am unable to complain about the condition of the room and that “poop in the pool happens every once in a while.” I slept in my rental rather than that filthy hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

We had an amazing stay here; all the way from check in, maintenance requested, and location to downtown. First we arrived several hours ahead of check-in time. The front desk staff, along with the hospitality Manager, went above and beyond to get our room ready way ahead of time which I did not expect but certainly appreciated it! They offered to let us park our car in the parking garage ahead of time or hang out in the lobby. There's a Starbucks attached to the hotel, so my wife and I were able to get coffee and hang out while our room was getting ready. Once we arrived in our room we found a very clean room that exceeded our expectations. The only thing of note is that the water took a really long time to heat up. At most hotels the water heats almost instantaneously so we thought there was something wrong with the water. We called the front desk and asked for maintenance to come check it out and unlike most hotels, they were at our room within 15 minutes. It was at that time we discovered the water just needed to run for about 4 to 5 minutes before it actually heated up. Once we did that the water was piping hot! The maintenance guy was very nice and I was surprised how quickly they responded. It was really nice and convenient to only have a 15 minute walk to the arena for a hockey game and a 15 minute walk to the aquarium. There's also electric scooters and electric bikes all around that you can rent to get around town even quicker. It's also not far from Ybor city or Hyde Park or strip clubs… Just depending on what you're into. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will absolutely be back. I've seen others complain about the breakfast and I will agree the line was a bit long, so we ended up just stepping into the Starbucks to grab breakfast instead. If you have the time to wait in line I'm sure it's worth it, but if you're in a rush, plan on getting breakfast elsewhere. That is definitely not something that would deter me from staying here again. Also lots have complained about the loud road noise, but that's out of the hotels control so I wouldn't ding them for that. It is what it is. Bring a sound machine or run the fan in the room. We slept right through it!!

The rooms were very clean, very big bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty decent. The only 2 complaints I really have is the parking a little confusing. I wish they'd explain it to you though about parking. And what to do and I'm surprised that they charge $35 to park overnight. But all in all the hotel was nice, and the staff was nice.

Lovely staff clean spacious hotel with great breakfast. Ask for a room not street facing. So much street racing and loud cars will make it hard to sleep.
